2025 Reyes Cup, Oct 16-19, Manilla. Team Asia vs Team World

Come on, are you trying to insinuate that by moving to Buckinghamshire they operated at a loss and just for the benefit of TV viewing fans? I would believe they make more money from TV than in person attendance. "Willingness to step up to the plate" 😆

2025 Reyes Cup, Oct 16-19, Manilla. Team Asia vs Team World

I am sure if they had reached out to the players and explained the situation with the heat/no AC, the players would not have reverted to social media to complain. Something went wrong management wise. Do you really think MR would have cancelled the event given all the investment made? No sure...

2025 Reyes Cup, Oct 16-19, Manilla. Team Asia vs Team World

A business model based on rewarding loyalty only will always fail. Sidelined players might only show up for major tournaments which have potential for bigger payouts, to the detriment of the sport. Production is not only about TV, the temperature at the arena for the Hanoi Open was miserable...

2025 Reyes Cup, Oct 16-19, Manilla. Team Asia vs Team World

Exactly! Matchroom desire for loyalty and control will be their downfall.

2025 Reyes Cup, Oct 16-19, Manilla. Team Asia vs Team World

Really nice insight from Coach Johan Ruysink on the Window's Open podcast. He mentioned the "toxic" environment at MR events. People who keep praising Miss Emily, mostly you educated and informed ones, are doing a disservice to the sport. MR needs to get over the shit that they dominate pool...

Break Stats -- 2025 Reyes Cup, October 2025

Do you have the final games/racks totals? I must have missed it if it’s in your write up.

2025 Reyes Cup, Oct 16-19, Manilla. Team Asia vs Team World

I don't think so ... just my opinion. Fedor jumps were more difficult and they were cleaner with position. Maybe MR could do a clip with the successful jumps in the tournament.

2025 Reyes Cup, Oct 16-19, Manilla. Team Asia vs Team World

If the MVP was based on actual play, Biado would have been the clear winner. And if there was a golden jump cue prize, Fedor would have won hands down. That guy is just sick with a jump cue.

You call that a well scripted spectacle 😆

Controversial Non-Call of WRONG-BALL-HIT-FIRST FOUL - Hanoi Open - Capito vs. Lechner Quarter Final

Why did you say that if the 9 ball was hit first, it would come off the tangent line of the 4?? Is that how tangent lines are determined? It would have been better if you showed both lines for the 90 degrees rather than drawing a line and calling it a tangent line. I believe Marcel's job was...

2025 Reyes Cup, Oct 16-19, Manilla. Team Asia vs Team World

Jay, you really liked the Yapp/Duong vs Skyler/Jayson match, didn't you? What a masterpiece deserving the lump of crap trophy.

2025 Reyes Cup, Oct 16-19, Manilla. Team Asia vs Team World

The doubles match was like watching an APA match. 2 scratch on the break and a hanging 9 from Team Asia. Mercy is the word 😆

2025 Reyes Cup, Oct 16-19, Manilla. Team Asia vs Team World

That's what you get when you reward loyalty over the most deserving. What a joke and people think Miss Emily is a genius. Lots of top players complained about the 100 degrees F plus heat in the arena at the Hanoi Open. That's not how you run a tournament. MR just milking the players and a...

2025 Reyes Cup, Oct 16-19, Manilla. Team Asia vs Team World

Not sure about FSR, but I don't follow pool closely during the summer months when I do trapshooting. I believe Moritz earned his place so regardless of how he does in the Reyes Cup I wouldn't question his pick.

2025 Reyes Cup, Oct 16-19, Manilla. Team Asia vs Team World

Correct, such a sample might be difficult to get. So sjm might have a point where overall match wins over a recent period should be the indicator. The match wins should count against everyone played not just Asia vs ROW. I guess if you start the 10 players with an 800 fargo and calculate...

2025 Reyes Cup, Oct 16-19, Manilla. Team Asia vs Team World

I don't agree, but I am just an engineer so I can be wrong. The stats guys can weigh in if they want to. I believe matches can be decided on a single rack and with 9 ball, slops can play a factor. To me, games would a better indicator like Mike did, but the sample has to be more reflective...

2025 Reyes Cup, Oct 16-19, Manilla. Team Asia vs Team World

See what I mean, your conclusion was heavily weighted by Fedor and FSR performance. Maybe you would care to explain the actual game count that is currently happening in the Reyes Cup.

2025 Reyes Cup, Oct 16-19, Manilla. Team Asia vs Team World

It depends on the actual matches. Fedor beating Manas 9,0 in 5 matches would skew the results for ROW. I don't think your comparison is reasonable to conclude "very close " without looking at the actual data.
