mike lambros ultimate joint 4 point 4 veneer cue *reduced* -SOLD-

Thanks. You might want to put it in a more prominent spot so more people don't miss it.

Maybe I missed it somewhere in there, but what's the price?

What is in your case? 2017

I already posted mine in the JB thread, but I'll throw mine in here. My case is a JB 2x4 leather Mason with a little bit of tooling on the pockets. I love this case. Cues are my 60" rosewood into birdseye full splice Tascarella and a Jacoby Edge break cue. The excess crap is: a pair of joint...

Songs that get played over and over at your pool hall

+1 for "Friends in Low Places", as well as plenty of other low-brow bubblegum country garbage including but not limited to the ever-ubiquitous "I Love This Bar" and that song about a chicken fry and cold beer on a Friday night and jeans that fit just right. I've found it depends on the day...

With about $1k to spend on the used cue market...

For me it's Bluegrass all the way. Primarily because of how they play, but they also hold their value decently and I really like Richard's block ringwork and wood choices. His shaft taper makes for a very stiff hit and the one cue of his I had really blew me away with how nicely balanced it was...

WTB Diveney Shaft w/thin black collar

Anybody got one lying around? 30" would be great, but 29" is fine too.

    Advice for Choosing Cases

JB and Whitten are all I would use for cues I care about. I have never tried but have also heard very good things about Rusty Melton, Dennis Swift, and Chuck Fields (who I don't believe makes cases anymore).

What do you do when in a slump?

When I'm in a slump, I put my cue away, pick up a house cue off the wall, and shoot only straight stop shots for a few days. Works pretty well for me.

    Mr Wilson

If that was what I felt about Mr. Wilson, I'd say it. I would articulate it a little better than that and leave out the profanity, but this is my point. You can express basically any opinion you want on here as long as you're cordial and don't use a ton of profanity or slander anyone. If I had...

    Mr Wilson

I stay far away from NPR. Do those weirdos even play pool? I think Mr. Wilson does a fine job and gets a lot more hate than he deserves. Must be why he never shows his face.

Are JB cases supposed to be really tight?

Yeah, tips down and pins up or vice versa is the way you have to it with JB's interior. And they do loosen up over time - not so much so that it's a problem and you worry your cues will be sliding around, but to the point where it is easier to put them in and take them out. If you have the case...

An Unusual One Off Tim Scruggs Cue, Ebony Front Big MOP

Sorry I threw out the red herring there, for whatever reason I thought I saw it advertised as being like 60.5" or 61" or so. My bad, KC.

The great debate; what do YOU prefer for a break-cue, ultra lite or ultra heavy?

I've tried both and feel like I have trouble getting off the starting blocks with a heavier cue. Lighter has always been better for me as far as breaking goes. My breaker is maybe 18oz, give or take.

An Unusual One Off Tim Scruggs Cue, Ebony Front Big MOP

Saw that one and was thinking of picking it up myself. I think you did well with it. For me personally, the aesthetics are not exactly my cup of tea but I was interested due to it being a longer Scruggs, which in my experience have been pretty rare. 61" right? I bet it plays great. Nice pick up.

my wife put her foot down

I gamble cheap but my wife is always very happy when I do win, since I'm still young and new-ish (about 5 years in) to the game and she knows how much it means to me to beat some of the better local guys playing one pocket or win the weekly 9 ball tourney. She knows how much everybody spots me...

    Which cue would you buy?

The Joss, or if you don't mind going used 400 bucks should get you a nice Schon as well.
