American 14.1 Straight Pool Championship (Oct 24-29), Norfolk, Winner $10K

If you watch Sigel's 150 and out vs Zuglan at the '92 US Open, Ervolino enters the booth when Sigel has run about 7 racks and he calls Sigel's shot selection and patterns perfectly over the last 3 racks. But Ervolino and Sigel played classic 14.1 and could probably call each other's patterns...

    US Open hard to watch

Buddy and Nick were deliberate, and their pace was fine. Actually it was the fast players who we’re guaranteed to make a few careless shots in every match.

Dennis Orcollo vs SVB (Race to 75) 9 ball (22-24 Sep)

Why 9 ball? SVB has been playing race to 63 10 ball last 2 matches at Sharks 🤔

    Shouldn't 1 Pocket Be ?

Depends what you're looking at. But yes to see the table layout sitting in balcony is great. I sat in the balcony every day at the 1992 US Open 14.1 and the view was fantastic, but not every venue has a balcony. If you want to see a players stroke/cue action it's better to be down at table level...

The best stroke/cue action you have seen

Dallas West had a gorgeous slip stroke.

    Incardona and Mathews 1994 Cues

I recall Billy saying on one of the videos, that he played with a South West but don't remember what year that was and whether he changed cues regularly

The best stroke/cue action you have seen

FYI, just to underscore SJM's comment about the power of Miz's stroke, I seem to recall his first match at the US Open in 1992 he had a run of something like 132? In the middle of that run he settled for a crazy break shot where he cut the object ball in and had to go 3 rails around the table...

The best stroke/cue action you have seen

Sigel had a beautiful stroke. Look at any of the old vids/dvds, and his setup and stroke were gorgeous. Head, cue and elbow in perfect alignment. Slow backstroke and smooth acceleration. Cueball control and shotmaking second to none.
