In the states carom equipment improvements are slow to catch on. This is not a criticism of our country. We are a pool country. I have been honored to live at a time when a legend like Raymond Ceulemans plays the game so beautifully. And to meet him and speak with him and watch him play live is/was a real treat. We should all take advantage of this moment when we can. Nothing lasts forever.

Logandgriff, you are absolutely correct. I had a Willie Hoppe as well. Many/most cues of this era has brass joints/collars including my Harold Worst cue.

Next year will be the 50th anniversary of his passing.
