    Mariposa Butterfly

ziricote points into cocobolo. This cue plays like a violin. Subtle colors won't shout for attention to any but the most discerning eye.

    Playing pool in the Philippines

Well, I never updated this thread. Trip was great and I found very friendly action. Lost 2 sets 10 ball and 8 ball for 500 pesos each, then played last pocket for 1000 and came out even. I only had one night to play but it was a cool little pool hall. Action found me in 2 seconds. Fun stuff

    Mariposa Butterfly

Stunning Butterfly cue from Mariposa. UPDATE ON WOOD TYPES, the main forearm is Cocobolo, and the points are Zricote. The veneers are black blue and a purple stacked laminate. Very responsive and great feel. One shaft is longer and larger diameter, the other is slightly shorter and small...

    Playing pool in the Philippines

Thanks jay. I'd love to golf there too, but I likely won't have time and I didn't see any real courses where I'm going. Any useful phrases in tagalog that would help?

    Playing pool in the Philippines

Thanks for sharing. I'm just wanting to have fun and hope I can get out and shoot a bit. Playing for cheap, I don't mind donating 20 bucks over the course of a night. These folks need it more than I do. I've flirted with a 500 Fargo but normally stay under. Good advice to bring my own tip...

    Playing pool in the Philippines

Any advice for playing with locals around the islands? I'm going to assume everyone, even the kids are capable of kicking my butt. Plan to travel next year to the smaller islands for a wedding. If anyone has advice on how play nice with the locals please chime in. I don't mind playing for...

    Open Billiard Market sucks

Another Facebook stinks rant. Just can't stand how picky they are about posting. You can say southwest "style" to describe a cue, you have to list every detail down to the bumper condition or the Admin will decline your post... It's ridiculous. Always preferred selling here.
