I reached out a few weeks ago to the SIB guy and he was unable to reach Tom also. Earlier this week I emailed Pooldawg.com to ask when they will have more Ultraskins in stock and their reply was that they will not be restocking them, they didn't give a reason.

It's NOT priced well, at $172 a QUART...and be prepared to have to reinvent how to sand/buff it to the shine you are used to, and it may not get there..... I looked at it, and from feedback from others, have decided to pass....

It involves drilling/boring the old threads out and boring to a specific dia. that then, a pre-made plug of what ever material the repair guy wants to use gets inserted with epoxy, and once the epoxy is dried, that than gets bored and tapped for the joint pin to fit into.

They have never been replaced until now, up til now they were original. I replaced them yesterday and it didn't change the problems. One was completely dead and the other runs at high speed. The dead one, I found the thermister was way outta specs, replaced it with the one from the other board...

I would recommend taking length measurements, then, while machining the old one off, measure the cap thickness. make sure to clean the glue off. I believe it is more of a .390 tenon. I always custom size the ferrule to the tenon on those. Also, should use either isoplast or tomahawk, otherwise...

Has anyone had their penn state variable speed controller just be at the highest speed right from turn on? Worked foine then all of a sudden, I turned it back on and it ran at the highest speed. The speed control pot is good, and the high and low small pots on the board are not affecting the...
