I know what doesn't work...cussing them. Then Samuel Jackson called and told me to stop using his trademark.

Gold Crown IV Pro 8 Rebuild

Okay I went over to our local pool hall today and measured the pockets on the GC 9' I have played for years. 4.625 corners and 5 inch side pockets. So I'm going to have to tighten up my GC pro 8 pockets to similar dimensions.

Gold Crown IV Pro 8 Rebuild

Any design you can imagine as you have complete 3D control over the shape and angles accurate to a few thousands of an inch in all dimensions. With dual independent print heads you can 3D print with 2 types of filaments simultaneously. Nylon/rubber, ABS/rubber. NOT a substitute for regular play...

Gold Crown IV Pro 8 Rebuild

Cost is no object. I'm not a tournament player and never going to be a tournament player. I could change my mind on tightening the pockets I'll have to speak with RKC but for now I'm fine with 5 and 5.5. There are some other modifications I'd like to have done to the rails. One issue I do see...

So What Does One Do When They Don't Have a Decent Local Mechanic...?

Measured them last night. Corner pockets are 141 degrees. Side pockets 106 degrees but the lining is not flat so that's a rough measurement. I need to remove the liner and remeasure. Haven't measured the down angle yet.

Gold Crown IV Pro 8 Rebuild

Much of what I need to practice has nothing to do with pocket width. Tightening the pockets would be counter productive for this. I already have pocket speed control and strive for clean shots in the center of the pocket never touching the pocket cushion anyway. Now if/when the day comes that...

Gold Crown IV Pro 8 Rebuild

Just measured the pockets on my GC IV then read about 100 pocket size posts...pocket size with 3/16" facings are 5" corners and 5.5" side pockets. I'm going to stick with that.

Put Money Into Existing Table or Upgrade?

Is that a 2 sink bathroom vanity frame? Congrats on the 9' Mission, I could not cram a 9' into my space the oversize 8 just barely fit.

Put Money Into Existing Table or Upgrade?

I doubt it, the GC IV oversized 8' frame only looks heavy, it's actually light weight Mahogany. Now if the GC frame was oak yeah, that would have been super heavy. I moved all the pieces of my GC IV into my house without much effort at all. Plus the feet are nearly 8 inches in diameter...

Gold Crown IV Pro 8 Rebuild

Slates flat, screwed down and locked together with super glue. That's right I used all 14 screws because it tried to vex me, it was on after that! 😂 Table leveled, seams Bondo'd and 400 grit wet sanded so even a human fingertip can't detect the seam. Well I guess super leveled behold the...

    Cleaning old slate?

I hit a test spot with water, dish soap and a sponge with a blue non scratching scrub pad, zero effect on the slate grunge, maybe it's oxidation. Anyway I'm calling it good with just the damp cloth wipe down.

Gold Crown IV Pro 8 Rebuild

I smell Bondo whew! Slates adjusted flat, locked in with super glue, seams filled with Bondo. I'll let the house air out and go play some pool at our local pool hall.

    "Gold Crown" Ball Polisher

I'm leaving you the easy part, the rails 🤣 But seriously I can't see wasting RKC's time on grunt work like pulling staples and removing layers of contact cement. (censored) staples (censored) (censored).
