    Desire to play

I would recommend either get your own table and control the experience or move to Chicago and join the Illinois Billiard Club, the place is like billiard heaven and the people are so welcoming and helpful.

bought a gc. need info on moving. please help!

If you insist on moving it yourself, I recommend renting a moving truck with a lift gate. They're very inexpensive and will have the space and equipment to move it properly. You MUST break down the table and organize everything. Wrap your slates in blankets and use a dolly to roll them into...

Can those who know about these slip on extenders tell me what the best one to get would be? I am in the market for one of these as my bridge skills are a bit poor but improving... in the meantime though, i would like to get one of these to avoid improving my bridge skills when it counts and i...

    Do you use IVORY ferrule?

i personally am not the biggest fan of ivory ferrules... it was the standard a long time ago, but now whith all hte technology out there improving our equipment, ivory is just not worth using. That being said, it looks great and is nice to have. As far as the comment earlier about playing good...

Is it legal to do this with my cue?

This works for me... you have to visualize and really focus, use your head and ignore eveything else, think positive and only think about how good its gonna look and feel when that ball does exactly what you are trying to make it do... it works everytime, and you will miss ALOT less than you...

What is your pool nickname, and how did you come by the nickname?

I never had one until recently someone at the Illinois Billiard Club called me "araña" (Spanish for spider). It was to describe my bridge hand when I switch to the open bridge because it looks like a spider and sometimes I move my middle finger a bit to get comfortable. I kind of like it...

2012 AZ Billiards Straight Pool Challenge!

I put together a 15 ball run earlier this evening (01.23.2012). I ran a complete rack with some nice shots out of the rack and then hit the break shot for the next rack although I did not knock anything out for a makeable shot. Its not much compared to the field, but it sure is nice to get out...

    My New Cue!!!

Thanx, same here... I used to get blisters from breaking after playing for 10+ hours because of that glossy finish, that's not the case with this finish. Also, it allows the wood to breathe.

    My New Cue!!!

Thank You for the kind words... The "player" was the direction I wanted to go in. Once the other cue is made it will be a "part-time player" and my break cue. The ferrule is brass, it was Adam's idea along with the Ironwood, which are both fantastic ideas. Initially, I wanted to have just 2...

    My New Cue!!!

The hit is unlike anything I've ever used before... It is a very responsive cue, you feel the entire shot front to back and it's very direct in the hit, the ball does not throw at all, it goes exactly where you hit it. He uses a very secret recipe for the tips, which are the pressed master...

    My New Cue!!!

It couldn't have come at a better time... I took the day off because we're getting 8+ inches of snow here in Chicago, so needless to say, I'm not working!! I ordered a couple custom cues from Adam Franks Cues in Albuquerque, NM a couple months back. We designed a really nice 12 point cue that...
