I would recommend either get your own table and control the experience or move to Chicago and join the Illinois Billiard Club, the place is like billiard heaven and the people are so welcoming and helpful.

i personally am not the biggest fan of ivory ferrules... it was the standard a long time ago, but now whith all hte technology out there improving our equipment, ivory is just not worth using. That being said, it looks great and is nice to have. As far as the comment earlier about playing good...

This works for me... you have to visualize and really focus, use your head and ignore eveything else, think positive and only think about how good its gonna look and feel when that ball does exactly what you are trying to make it do... it works everytime, and you will miss ALOT less than you...

I put together a 15 ball run earlier this evening (01.23.2012). I ran a complete rack with some nice shots out of the rack and then hit the break shot for the next rack although I did not knock anything out for a makeable shot. Its not much compared to the field, but it sure is nice to get out...

I use blue diamond... It grabs the cb better and is alot cleaner, especially after several hours of continuous play.

Thanx, same here... I used to get blisters from breaking after playing for 10+ hours because of that glossy finish, that's not the case with this finish. Also, it allows the wood to breathe.
