Your reasons may be a little suspect, but if it matters to you then it matters period!!!!!!!! There is no reasons in todays world that you can't find the hit that you want. My recommendation to you would be to go to a show, like the Super Billiards Expo and find the cue you are looking for...

If you purchased the right lathe to begin with you would not have all these problems. Not to mention the extensive phone support. Makes all the diffrence.

That is all the lathe you need to put cues together. I'm sure it will be fine. If you decide cuemaking is not for you the lathe can easily be resold.
