Are Junior players being set up for a tough life?

Seems like a good kid! I can't wait to meet him in KC next week and watch him play Ultimate Pool!

    Justin Bergman vs Tom Cousins

These two guys are playing a race to 30 on the Ultimate Pool stream table the day before the KC Open next week. International rules, 30 second shot clock. Big money in the middle! Who do you guys like, and why?

    9-Ball needs to be fixed

I've always wanted to play this way. I always get met with the "fans want to see pros run packages" argument.

Are Junior players being set up for a tough life?

He was constantly doing stuff like that.

What is a "Professional" Pool Player? (Your Definition)

IMO, it's all about their abilities, not their income. I'd say 750 fargo and up.

At what would you question “non obvious” call pocketing?

I watched a live stream of an 800 Fargo rate player, competing in a $20 weekly tournament, recently.

I'm surprised more pros don't do that as a way to make money and gain fans. I guarantee that if they announced they were coming to Phoenix, they could line up $50 races to 7 and be booked all day for a week. They'll rarely lose the sets and should easily make $500+ per day. They may even be...

I am whoofing at the whole country (or maybe the Midwest) and maybe it’s more of a friendly bark

Most of the 700+ players in AZ play each other cheap sets. I play $50 races to 7 (big table 10-ball) with guys like Joven Bustamante, Mitch Ellerman, Nick DeLeon, Bobby Emmons anytime I get the chance. And anyone traveling through town that wants to get a decent-sized bet down will be able to...

2026 AZB Ghost Challenge - Official Thread

It took me 13 tries to finally beat the 11-ball ghost. Back to back victories this afternoon 9-8, 9-6. I'll at least post the 9-6 as soon as I get a chance. I was up 8-3, then three minutes later it's 8-6. I was getting worried! :D

Bay Shore Billiards - Long Island, NY

They were nice! You can tell the owner keeps them in good shape. Pockets were a bit more generous than I am used to so I felt like a stud! :D

I watched a live stream of an 800 Fargo rate player, competing in a $20 weekly tournament, recently.

That's awesome! I pitched that idea to our TD about having the loser stay at the table. I don't see why a player who doesn't win one game should be in the tournament for hours. Let them go home and try again next time! Do you use a certain kind of software that evens out the games? Would...

I watched a live stream of an 800 Fargo rate player, competing in a $20 weekly tournament, recently.

I don't care much for chip tournaments. As long as you keep winning, you get to keep playing. I've played in some where you have to wait over 30 minutes to get called up again after a loss. Players have won this tournament with a record of like 8 wins/6 losses. I may go 35-3 and not cash...
