As JAB already mentioned, you are confusing two different tournaments. I know the format and/or rules are not everyone's cup of tea, but if you are passionate enough to openly discuss what you don't like about it, the least you could do is take the time to understand what you're complaining about.

Made the quarterfinals of the Open this time out. My best finish yet! Dave and Leah were awesome. The food at this place was excellent and you can tell they love to take care of the players!

The rules Ultimate Pool is using is only out of the ordinary for Americans. It's very common for them. Our rules are pretty goofy to them as well.

They listened to the feedback on the idiotic rule you referred to and they changed that. I hate that the "golden break" is no longer a win in the shootout, but I like that rule in the Open.

Ultimate Pool will be setting up the arena table a couple days before the event and that is where they will play the big match. 30 second shot clock, international rules. It'll be a great match!
