    I finally played Ultimate Pool

I'm sorry but that's not ultimate pool. 30 minute match clocks should be used. I start at -4 almost every time. Last week I won 4-1 with my opponent milking the clock. You played some dumb TD's version of UP.

    I finally played Ultimate Pool

I'm not sure I follow on your first point. You can absolutely hit your solid and pocket your opponent's stripe. You just lose your turn at the table. Just like BCA. Edit: Looks like I'm late to the party...

    I finally played Ultimate Pool

My two cents: - I've played in all of the leagues and UPL is definitely my favorite. - The shot clock and match clock are awesome. - Not having to commit to playing all night is great. You can coordinate with your captain and play first if you have an early morning or play last if you have...

pool's greatest one liners & quotes

Glad this thread got revived! I'll throw a cute one out there. I was set to play Savannah Easton in about 20 minutes. She just got a steak quesadilla delivered to her table and I wanted to try to get in her head a bit. I said "I don't know how you do it, kid. I always play bad when I eat...

Class Move by Tyler Styer in Iowa, 10 Ball Showdown , against Justin Bergman

I don't like it in this context, but I love the rule in general. They want to keep the games from dragging out.

Class Move by Tyler Styer in Iowa, 10 Ball Showdown , against Justin Bergman

Only in the sense of the player has the option if his/her opponent pockets a non-called ball.

Class Move by Tyler Styer in Iowa, 10 Ball Showdown , against Justin Bergman

I agree Sith you. Justin didn't actually foul by NOT calling the combo, just lost his turn. The ref did tell me that Tyler simply could have told the ref that he'd like to "turn the table back over to Justin" rather than doing what he did.

Class Move by Tyler Styer in Iowa, 10 Ball Showdown , against Justin Bergman

Here’s something to think about…. Intentional fouls under this rule set are ruled as “loss of frame”. Tyler should have lost the rack when he did that. I questioned the refs on their decision after the match.

The pockets are 4.25" (although they are playing a bit more generous). The format is a ton of fun. To each their own I guess. I was told 4.25” and took their word for it. I measured them at 4.5”. They all looked 3.5” to me.

Same. I'll always look them in the eye, win or lose, and thank them for the game/match.
