Fresh and Authentic Moori Medium and Jewel Ruby/ Jewel Malachite tips

I guess by your post you are asking to be sued. Some people follow through with action. Sometimes discretion in the better part of valor. You might be smart to delete your post Dave. Law suits are not cheap. Especially if they are long and drawn out and are out of state. Rick

Turning down shafts, router bit or milling bit

Six minute travel speed on 30" dowel for hogging, intermediate or final taper pass. Slow travel speed / less shock to the wood. Then dial in your lathe RPM until you get the best results. Start a 130 RPM and go up till you find Goldielocks. Set very light tail stock pressure. JMO, Rick

Carbide Grinding Service - any recommendations?

Take six minutes travel passes. @ .010 and play with your lathe rotation speed. Slower travel put less shock or stress on the wood. Start with 150 rpm and go up or down from there till you find the goldielocks setting combo. Slower is better but you need to experiment. Also set the...

Sharing opinions is what it is all about. Don't get me wrong I really like Black Boars Jamie. However, I wonder what would be the outcome if you put 10 top collectors in a room with a BB and a Leon cue with Loupes and were told to make a objective evaluation. That would be interesting.

Leon, Show Jamie the site with the standard design features that are 100s and 1000s of years old. That may shine some light on this discussion. We know these are not vectorized geometries and you have to physically draw them on your Cad and there is no tracing or anything like that. I for...

Yes, the desirability is the key but you have to have the balls to demand the kind of prices that Tony gets. Rome is never built in a day. He puts a price on his time and culls the potential customers. Tony has paid his dues for his elite status. Those who see the value pay the price. The...

Great points 9ballking, However, I have seen Notched Diamonds on a ukulele built in the 1800s. If you examine artisan work and designs from eastern, western and native cultures, I would bet you could not find any elements on cues that were not hundreds or thousands of years old. "The game...

Old School / New School Esoteric Cue for Dino

Thanks Guys, I usually bookend the butt sleeve with matching rings. The 8 tiny diamonds where done just to be a little asymmetrical in the sleeve area. The stitch rings are bookended now on the front and back of the cue only as we did not want rings on either side of the wrap. Rick
