Most cue makers have a proprietary pin. What ever CM you select, it would be wise to let him make the pin selection.

Re drill with .421 drill bit and tap with a 1/2 - 13 tap. Then use a 1/2 Allen bolt which is much heavier than the 3/8 - 16. I have been using 1/2 - 13 for 13 years and I love them because by buying different lengths they give me more flexibility. JMO, Rick

Paul, You are correct. Ray Ray used his Schuler Joint design in the A Joint. 9 Hall of Fame people played with a Schuler cue. A least Ray's cue were not warped on a consistent basis. That is the 800 lb gorilla in the room. LOL Rick

Concerning ivory handle cues, you never know when they will crack. When you pay big bucks for a cue like that what happens to your investment when you wake up one morning and you see a crack, :boring2::eek:
