    Help with cue and case

Bumping this to see if anyone can help with the case. Cue and case are going into FS/FT Section when I get home from work tonight. I finally got to the pool hall to get some more hits in with this and I just can't get used to the feel. The butt is a bit thicker than my Schon, or even my old...

    grainger now selling pool tables

I bet this is for the military. The military uses grainger a lot and I'm sure some MWR stuff gets ordered through them, it's just one more way for them to get the government money. Just my best guess.

    VERY nice Dale Perry

C'mon guys, the last one of these filled in 6 days. $5 to win a brand new cue is definitely worth my time. :) How about anyone else?

ID this cue on Goodwill Auctions Please

FWIW it went for 21 bucks. I bid up to 20 but got outbid last second. Wonder if that was another AZer? It looked old enough to be pre-flag, and I figured for 20 bucks you couldn't go wrong for a gross of master chalk any way you slice it. Be interesting to know, if the person who won them...

    Paul Huebler

I just picked up a Huebler on a kind of luck of the draw because of a friend of mine. I posted it up here for ID about a month ago now. I am originally from Missouri myself, and saw many Huebler cues, and played with one of my own that I bought from an old friend of my grandfathers when I was...

    A,B,C players???

Johnnyt, thanks for the link. I have been wondering about how I could "rate" myself as far as playing the ghost for a strictly offensive idea of where my game is at. I know I'm not where I was or anywhere near where I want to be, but hopefully once my home table gets set up, this will change. :)

    Vegas on Thanksgiving. . .

Thanks for the heads up Bank2Win. I'm a 9ball player myself, I just hope I can get my home table set up before the end of sept. so I have a month or so of practice. I know I'm not going to walk in and win anything, but I would at least like to be able to hold my own.

    Vegas on Thanksgiving. . .

Bumping this up since it's getting a bit closer. Still not 100% sure where I'm staying yet, thinking about Hard Rock, but that's pretty far off the strip. In-laws are staying at Circus-Circus, but don't plan on staying there either. Thrash, I'll check out the Artisan this evening, though it...

if everyone just used their real names on the forum's and chat's...

Anonymity is why some people use forums, and the internet for that matter. There are the spammers who are only there to waste people's time of course. Then you have the people who wish to stir the pot and not get fingers pointed at them. I believe sharing your name on the internet is a...

When you get rid of smoking....

The pool room I played in was a no alchohol pool room from the day it opened. 24 hour operation with 14 or so 9' tables and an area of about 6 bar boxes. I think it was 6, though I never really went over there. LOL. While there was no alchohol, smoking was allowed, and the room owner had a...

NOW is the time to Open a Billiard Room

Wow. I can say that would be more than worth my time. I work those hours as it is...6-7 days a weekend 10-12 hours, and my return isn't nearly that, but then, that's what you get for working for someone else. (this is in no way negative toward you fatboy, I can only hope my time be worth half...

NOW is the time to Open a Billiard Room

I wish I wasn't in Hawaii. I don't think a 4th pool hall would do much here on the island...and the costs are exponentially higher here.

    Table Set Up

I have an older brunswick. Original thread of pictures before I moved it here: http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=195361& Not sure what the exact model is on the table to be honest, no one was 100% sure.

    Table Set Up

I am in hawaii. Going to be getting it set up hopefully in the next few weeks to month. Not sure the exact schedule, still have a few things to do on the garage.

    Table Set Up

Looking to get the table that I posted a couple of weeks ago set up here soon. Just wondering what I should expect to pay to have it done right, thinking about having the pockets tightened down, and I know that takes a fairly experienced mechanic. I have gotten a couple of quotes, but not...

    Azbilliard app

Azb is tapatalk enabled as it stands. I'm using that right now. Costs 2 bucks, but well worth it. And there is a free read only version I used for while. I'm very happy with the app and it's a full vbulletin enabled app. I would however ask that azb upgrade the backend of tapatalk as there...

    Help with cue and case

Thanks a lot boba. Exactly the info I was looking for. :) Thank you everyone who chimed in. It's definitely a great cue, I have enjoyed it so far, just not sure if I like the lacquered wrap and weight yet.
