    Magic Rack Material Change

The Renfro here on azBilliards has already come up with a great alternative to the magic rack. He is currently trying to get some major tournaments to use it, it will cost about the same as the magic rack, but is a cloth-like material that can be rolled, folded and adjusted to take any slack/gap...

my 1st game of pool since i broke my leg

I went through the same thing back in April, broke my ankle on my motorcycle, but had to keep all weight off it and elevate it for 2 months, then crutches (the wife got me a knee walker too), couldn't play with the crutches, but could play with the knee walker. Took me forever to get in line...

    Breaking issue

Chris, You may be unintentionally dropping your shoulder on the forward portion of your stroke. I do this intentionally on my breaks, I aim at the very base contact point of the cue ball and cloth and drop my shoulder on the forward swing of my stroke so I hit the cue ball very high. My friend...

    A rack of 15 8-Balls...

I'm certainly willing to try this. Since I can't access utube from work & my home PC isn't working, maybe you can elaborate on the instructions for me; It called the 8 6 drill 8 ball spots on the headstring spot. 1 thru 6 balls spotted across the footstring line. You must pocket the 8 ball...

    A rack of 15 8-Balls...

This is a very interesting observation, indeed. When I practice 8 Ball at home, I usually try to run out the rest of the remaining balls after I shoot the 8 and in retrospect, never have a problem shooting the 8 when I do this. I guess I just have to make sure my opponent has some balls left by...

    A rack of 15 8-Balls...

I love to play straight pool and think this is a great idea, that's what we all played mostly when I was a kid in the 70's. It's just hard to find anyone around here that wants to play anything other than 8 or 9 Ball. Thank you.

    A rack of 15 8-Balls...

It occurred to me in playing 8 or 9 ball in last week's matches that I have a problem with the 8 in playing 8 ball & the 9 in playing 9 ball. I had a match against another same skill level player on Wednesday (we are both SL7's in APA) in a race to 5. I broke & ran the first rack no problem...

    Anybody recognize this?

This flyer had to be from the 80's. Mike Ashe's son, Brian Ashe did the artwork in the bottom of the flyer, I'd recognize it anywhere. I worked at Hi-Cue part time in '86 part time for a while. Brian was very artistic and his little "pool guy" murals were painted on the walls and on any flyers...

Light 6ft pool table for home

I have a 6 foot one-piece slate table, it has been in my family since my father bought it new in the mid 1960's. It was made by The National Shuffleboard company, in East Orange, NJ at the time. It is not light, it is relatively easy to move if you have the proper manpower. You probably can...

Who makes the best Billiard Glove

Finger Slides I give another vote to Cue-Z's Finger Slides! They last a long time, are custom made for a great fit, eliminate the use of powder, and my strongest reason for wearing them is they are thick enough so you don't feel any dings or debris that the shaft may accumulate during play. I...
