    Joint ID

1 piloted, 1 flat. I can interchange the two and they'll both sit flat and tight. I'm asking because back in the day I had them turned down. Now I find the shafts diameter is to small and might buy new/used ones. They're 30 year old less expensive cues, so we'll see. I'll find a bolt somewhere...

Can someone verify these are both 5/16x18? I can screw both into both shafts.

    Weight bolts question

After a little more searching, I found an old thread on here asking the threads for a Lucasi. I have seen weight bolts being sold that will fit the Rage, Lucasi and Players cues. The threads are M13, which are not easy to find. Thanks

    Weight bolts question

The DP is 1/2-13. It's the Players that's a mystery. Though, it appeared to be the same as the Rage and Lucasi. Added: So after doing a little more Googling, I came across a thread that was asked on here back in 2016. The bolt size is M13, which is a pretty rare. Here is the thread, for anyone...

    Weight bolts question

The JB5 is coarser than the DP, I just can't figure out the thread size. Thanks. Do you happen to have thread size for the Players JB5? I found these bolts and it appears it's the same threads as a Rage and Lucasi https://www.ozonebilliards.com/product/lucasi-and-players-cue-weight-bolt-3oz My...

    Weight bolts question

I went to Lowe's and HD and tried using the board they have to screw them in and find the correct size. The DP is 1/2"-13, but they were both sold out of all the sizes. The Players would not screw into anything, not even the metric sizes. If I had to make and educated guess, it's something like...

    Weight bolts question

I have not. If I can't find the ones I need, I will. My concern would be that it wouldn't be in 'tight', and could move around. My initial post was actually to verify that different cue makers use different threads. I guess I answered my own question. The bolt in the players looks like the one...

    Weight bolts question

I don't have one. Without a thread gauge, I wouldn't know how to figure that out

    Weight bolts question

I went to the pool hall yesterday for the first time in a long long long time. To say I was rusty would be an understatement. Anyway, I found that both cues (JB5 and Dale Perry) were to light (I don't know the exact weights) for me. Today I took off the end caps and pulled out the weight bolts...

What is your opinion of Lasik surgery?

I had mine done 18 years ago and my wife had it done about 9 years ago. No problems for either one of us. Now I'm almost 56 and need reading glasses. But, Lasik wasn't going to change that

    Cue Chalking Crutch

I have a routine. I follow that routine on every shot. It has nothing to do with whether my cue has chalk on it, or not. If anything interupts me, or I need to rethink about the shot, I start over. I go through the exact same routine. The only thing that changes is my speed. The more intense the...

    Cue Chalking Crutch

For the same reason baseball players bang their cleats after each pitch, bowlers wipe their bowling ball before each shot, tennis players bounce the ball X times before serving, etc etc. Yes, for some is could be a crutch. But, I think, for most, it's just a pre-shot routine. As for NEEDING to...

Who in here plays all 3 pretty well?

I've been bowling since I was 10. But, I had hand surgery and it'll be a year before I'm, hopefully, able to bowl again at the same level Never really played darts though.

Wtb 2x2, 2x3 or 2x4 hard box case

I have a single cue one and love the fact the cue sits nice and snug. I'll be buying another cue (jump/break) and will need a new case. I have only really found 1 online, and that one doesn't have any pictures of the inside. It's also ~$38, which makes me wonder about the quality. I'm also not...

    New Here? - Introduce Yourself

Good day everyone. I'm Eddi. A couple of people call me Ed, but it just doesn't sound right to me :) I haven't seriously picked up a pool stick in many many many years. There's been the occasional game (s) at a friend's house, but they were far and few between. Since I recently retired, and had...
