Thanks! Well, when you click "download the pdf" for the particular choice of rules, the wpa pulls up one that says 2007 at top of page and the bca one pulls one up that says 2008 at top of page. I thought there likely had been some changes since then?

Well..........I'll tell ya what I do.....though it may not be necessary, I do it anyway. Each time after I use it, I take a wet (but rung out) washcloth to all the carpet surfaces....disc, wall and star and give em a bit of a wash. I guess the reason I do this is after reading many of the past...

How do they glue the tip to the pad? Wouldn't the tip sop up that glue?

Magic rack. Any of the template racks probably. I used to use paper templates that you punched the holes in before magic rack came out.

I use a white fabric marker pencil (which is chalk I think). Get them at fabric store. You can brush or vaccuum the mark lightly after you mark it to take off any excess chalk. The line that is left shouldn't be of concern.
