Very entertaining one pocket match on youtube

Just watching a match between Diliberto and Wade Crane. The commentary with Billy and Weenie Beanie from 99 Derby is really hilarious and entertaining. I also enjoyed looking at real cues that don't look like fishing rods.

    John Schmidt new run

Just happen to see this on YouTube. Don't recall seeing it commented on. 820 just 12 balls short of Shaw. I love straight pool but don't think I can watch 3 hours and 48 minutes.

I think it was called Iron Willie and it might have belonged to Meucci

I've been looking and I can't find any. Does anybody have any of the videos of that machine that would demonstrate cue deflection? I used to see it at the BCA show and it was pretty interesting.

Do cue makers who make wood shafts still use a wood sealer dip?

Years ago it was becoming a common thing for cue makers to dip shaft wood in a product called Nelsonite. There may have been other products but that's the one that I believe Billy Stroud and Tim Scruggs for both using.

    Professional pool prize funds historically.

People were all excited about the $90,000.00 prize that Yapp won. The commentators could not stop talking about it. It occured to me when recently watching one of the Sands Regency tournaments from the 80s. The first prize was $40,000.00. that is $120,000.00 in today's dollars. Just found it...

    Extensions vs. the mechanical bridge.

This is not in the least a debate. In fact I have had a screw on extension for my cue for like 30 years. Miz had one that looked like a piece of a vacuum cleaner hose he slipped on the butt of his cue. I watch a lot of the pool now and they are constantly using an extension when a bridge would...

The jump cue has really come into its own.

The way players play safe today, without the jump cue. Most of the games would be two or three safeties a ball in hand and a run out.

Why are most CF shafts black?

It may sound like a dumb question but I am serious. Was there some kind of study done that determined that? When Cuetec started they were mostly white if I remember correctly.

    Carlo Biado's cue

Was watching last night and some of the close-ups look like he plays with a conventional wooden cue. I noticed he wasn't wearing a glove and a shaft looks like it could be 13 mm or larger is that correct?
