    help with PPV

I'm at wits end trying to get the PPV that I want to watch. I have NEVER been able to get any PPV on my PC where the connection goes to "interface.audiovideoweb.com" or "audiovideoweb.com". It never connects, it always times out and says it cannot connect to either of those 2 sites, thus I...

    very slow

Just a heads up to the powers that be on this forum: every day now I am getting everything from a very slow response to nothing at all when I try to navigate around the various forums/threads. Not all the time, but certainly enough to make it very frustrating sometimes. I have tried other sites...

    break cue

I had posted this thread in the "wanted/for sale" section earlier today and got 1 response, suggesting that it should be posted here, then the thread was deleted. Made me a little mad, but I will probably survive lol. I am going to give you the specs on a break cue I want made and if you are...

    original Palmer???

Don't know how to link this, but there is a cue on ebay that is listed as an original Palmer from the 70's and I am certainly no expert, but the fuzzy pictures don't look like any Palmer I have ever seen. The item number is: 270676957520. What do you experts think?

    best table lights?

I have seen everything from a single incandescent 100W bulb to 4 eight foot flourescents over a table. Lets see if we can get a concensus of what is the best table lighting, and if its flouro's, you will have to specify what color. Assume its a 9 footer. And how high off the playing surface is...

    how to cut rail rubber

did a search and didn't find anything, so here goes. 1. what is the best way to cut a rail rubber if its too long? 2. when glueing a rail rubber, should you stretch it any at all? 3. Is a good contact rubber cement the best way to glue a rail? I have covered many many tables but never done...

    uni lock

I know that installing a uni lock is somewhat harder than most others so i can partially understand why some cuemakers don't like the uni, but what I don't get is some players saying they can't stand the hit it produces. Its not that big of a difference between the various pins themselves...

    shaft question

i have an extra regular maple shaft and was wondering if i could chuck it up, take the tip off and bore, say quarter inch dia hole about, say 4 inches deep, fill it with "foam", put on a capped ferrle and then a tip and thus make a "lower deflection" shaft? this would be for my use only.

    Holly cue?

Was wondering if any of you cue makers have ever made a cue of mainly holly? either the shaft or bottom end? I ask this as I know that holly, when dry, is one of the hardest native woods there is, so hard that way back when, if a person could not afford a metal hammer, then they would make a...

    "New" Palmer Cues

Because of eyesight and failing health i quit playing pool about 7 years ago. Finally, there was an APA league in my area and i started playing again figuring i could be competitive in a handicap league. I was a wanna be cue builder back in the 90's and still had a few of my cues to play with...
