    Glass Melamine Ferrule

There is a well known Pro player at the room I shoot at who is looking for what he calls a "glass melanine"(sp?melamine?) ferrule. Is there such a thing? If so where or who is it available from? 1st time I have ever heard of such a thing but then again I am not a cue maker nor a repairman.

    Eddie Robin's

I was just looking at an edition of Pool & Billiard from Nov 1995 borrowed from a friend. In there is an ad announcing Eddie Robin's revised edition of Winning One Pocket. This was LESS than 10 yrs ago and now there are, apparently, no copies available. The listed price was $29.00. I know from...

    Great Weekend of Pool !

Friday evening as I'm leaving Hard Times in Bellflower I'm told "Efren's flying in. They are picking him up at the airport right now." The word flys around the room. Saturday is the monthly One Pocket Tournament. I show up after begging out of Saturday's chores. I am lucky to find a seat in the...

    Predator

My new cue won't be ready for 6 months. My current Predator's diameter is below 12mm due to an inattentive cue repairman. I am looking for a used Predator in decent condition and at a righteous price that I can have plugged and retapped. Please PM me if you have such an animal.

    Cue Balls

I'm sure this has been covered but I missed it. The few places that I play use the red circle ball for the most part. The other day the rack I got, had a cue ball with a blue marking. This cue ball seemed heavier to me. What is the difference between the 2 cue balls--weight wise? I know for sure...

    Woofin & Barking

We've all seen and heard of players woofin' & barkin' at one another. It's not my favorite thing to hear or watch although at times it can get real funny. In an earlier post somone mentioned that at DCC Shannon was hard on Efren trying to get 9-7. Someone told me that they all do it on occassion...

Anyone out there know who is scheduled to appear or what vendors are supposed to be in attendance? I was told that Efren has already confirmed. Just curious as I plan on going no matter what as...

Off of a scratch and determining what makes a ball in the "kitchen"? Some of the players at a couple of rooms have totally different rules. One segment says that the entire ball must be behind the "line" the other group says that if any portion of the ball is beyond the "line" it is a legal...
