Just a couple last things to fully understand the rules of 8 ball. situation came up tonight with my friend... If I am stripes and I call corner pocket (I know its a shot call game and you only have to call the ball and pocket with no regard on how it gets there as long as it goes in) , and I...

Learn with an aiming system or not

Dont want to start a whole new thread so Ill ask here. I have a couple questions about CTE I get the basics of lining up edge of CB to 'a' 'b' or 'c' on the OB. BUT... what about snooker cues that are 10mm? what about using a 10mm with smaller 2 1/16 balls? also, when lining up the cue stick...

    8 ball rules situation

THIS I have been having a heck of a time with my old school russian neighbor on the rules. He is a old school bar playing guy and it took over a week to get him to come around to real pool rules. He wanted to call every little kiss etc. He still has trouble with the 'must hit a rail AFTER...

Just a couple snooker rules not too sure about still..

Only other thing I can think of right now is... Lets say you snooker your opponent really really tough. Nearly impossible to hit an on ball from. I think I remember seeing something about only being able to try no more than 3 or 5 times and if they cant hit the ON ball then they are out of it...

    Need some advice (table leveling)

So he came back today and rolled some balls with him.. he also measured. Put a small shim under somewhere.. didnt see where he put it. But as of now everything seems pretty fair all around the playing area. The 4-6 inches is now within acceptable range of a $100 used table. Fairly straight...

ya. Ill post an update Tuesday night after he leaves and hopefully corrects this issue, Right now it looks like it is pretty much a wood playing surface. not slate. Its weird because he checked all the slate pieces before felting table and apparently all was good then. No carpet being used so...

Just a couple snooker rules not too sure about still..

great thanks. So just nominate a color and if it goes in, it goes in. (like 9 ball) Ya not sure about using the FAAM rule still here at home. The problem I see is if Player A shots and misses a red and hits the pink and then some more reds.. if I only move the cue ball back and leave the other...

    Need some advice (table leveling)

here is a quick go pro of both sides of table. As you can see the first one is pretty decent but not perfect. If I shot it a little harder it would for sure sit right back on the tip again but bringing it down near the foot of the table demonstrates some serious leakage to the side. tried a new...

    Need some advice (table leveling)

So I bought a Brunswick 8 foot Bristol (snooker) table just over a week ago in the classifieds for just 100 Canadian. Pretty decent shape actually. Pretty solid score for a 8 foot 3/4 inch slate table. I hired a local installer to come over and set it up and install a new Champ. teflon cloth...
