I have no doubt you are correct about the table in regards to it being a converted snooker. The cushions are circa 1950's & I will keep them. I doubt your comment on the numbering of the frame tops in various places,vertical crossmembers & horizontal stretchers,frame sides,rails is correct...

On my Brunswick Alexandria there are 2 side panels that have bubbling it is raised & has tiny splits over a 8 inch square area. Is there away to fix this without re-veneering? This table has a shellac finish over the wood which is figured walnut. All the veneer panels are decent except for...

I asked Bob Bebb this morning and he says it is an original to the Alexandria made in 1909 to 1913....his further comment...."Don't worry about it". When he see's it in the flesh....as of now only the many photos I have sent him....we shall see. Thanks P.s. though I think you guys are right....

Well these are original as they are marked: "Match Monarch Cushions Pat. Aug. 29. 1892 MFG'D BY The Brunswick - Balke - Collender Co. U.S.A" As to your question Bob from Rebco is coming up to assemble the table and I will continue to enjoy it. Hopefully it will play even better as there were...

"Today's Superspeed cushions bear the same patent date, but the original Monarch cushions measured 1 1/8" across the top of the cushion from the nose to the wood sub rail they were glued to." 1 1/8" it is.

After using a jewelers loop and reading some imprint on the cushions they are original Monarchs patent date August 1892. I think this table is original as it was manufactured back then.

Here are images of the slates corner and side....I don't know if you can deduce anything from them but a picture worth a 1000 words:grin: The Center pocket measures 4.500-4.600 on the slate cutout at it's widest part 4.125 at it's narrowest. Snooker dimensions?

I checked the pockets they are all original to the table and they are snooker dimension opening. Corners are 3.375 & Sides are 4.125 roughly. Could this have been a Combination table ? All the rails are matching numbers to the frame. Somewhere are the Snooker rails .

Ok enlighten me what makes a snooker rail vs a pool rail? In my picture of the rails how could you tell they were converted. Sorry for being dense. Is it the cushion profile that is for a snooker table. ? I found this explanation... Regulation Snooker Table Rail Cushions and Pocket Openings...

I have my Alexandria 5 x10 apart (see earlier threads) and the rails off .Looking at the rails they match the frame with #80358 marked on them. The cushions are imprinted with "Super Speed" There is also large yellow letters "DDDV" Marked on 4 of the cushions. The cushions are 58-60" long x 6 ...

Well been fixing all the things that I can on this frame, tender loving care. Painted the inside frame body with Olympic Jatoba stain a perfect match. Glued in loose pin blocks and some loose veneer altogether I am happy. I even fixed the frame issues, it's nice & tight. Glued the stretcher...

Ya know the learning curve is real steep on these babies:D Talked to Bob and he can come up.....just do it!

Yep....Bob is 78 and still doing work....I might just have him drive up and do mine....we will see.
