    Which Jump Cue?

Tbh I think the PA2 is one of the most versatile jumpers that isn't carbon. Close, far, draw, follow - it can do a lot of things well. If you can get your hands on an older one with darker shaftwood they jump even better. Like others have mentioned, once you learn how to jump you can jump with...

Looking for Instructors in North East

I am searching for an instructor in the Northeast, one that specializes in the correction of body alignment as well as the refinement of cue delivery and aiming This request is for a friend of mine whom I will be translating for. For reference he is 68X Fargo that if 'in shape' plays above...

Stroke improvement question for instructors and non instructors

developing a stroke I think the most effective way to develop a 'stroke' sometimes happens to be right in front of us First off, what is a 'developed' stroke? Is it spin? Straightness? Timing? Balance? I believe it happens to be a combination of all of the above. Now, back to 'developing' a...

    Pechauer with a 314-3?

I played with their 12.75 LD shaft and loved it. For tips I used the pechauer gold medium, G2 soft medium and hard. Kamui black soft, and Kamui black Clear SS. I stuck wit the KBC SS. I found the feel was great, much better than a lot of the other LD shafts. While it's laminated, it's solid...

how to fine tune my 9 ball game

the best thing you can do for your game is straight shots. Set up long straight shots. Can you follow the ball in a straight line 12 inches? 6 inches? what about 2 inches? Can you draw the same? These are all shots that come up in any game of pool. Set up these shots, do 40,50, 100 at a time...

Got CHALK? I DO! THE TOP 3 CHALKS!

Honestly the only thing that matters to me is how it feels on the tip and how messy it is. Chalk won't make the difference between a good hit or a miscue.

I have trouble with drawing my ball when the distance between the cue

I have had different experiences, I find my best draws come from easy, medium paced shots. Definitely firm, but I wouldn't say hard. A lot of people here are talking about following through which is definitely a must but I haven't read anyone talking about accelerating through. I feel...

how do I improve on my break?

Try using more wrist action. A lot of people focus on the pendulum in their elbow but forget the wrist needs to move like that too. Rise on the back stroke, not the forward stroke Good luck

    rhythm of the stroke...your thoughts

This back to forward motion is what I've been experimenting with personally for quite a while. Timing. On a delicate shot, I'm sure everyone has felt the weight of the cue want to go forward at the "end" of the backswing. I think of it like this: When you throw a ball in the air, it has kinetic...

    Pechauer P+Pro LD shaft

I made the switch from OB+ classic to the P+ Pro shaft and needless to say the OB stayed in the bag. I know hit is subjective and all but I have yet to find a shaft that I like better than the P+ Pro. Deflection isn't as low as a z3 or anything like that but it's low enough for me. The taper...

Congratulations to Joshua Filler for Winning the World 9-Ball Championship

Some world class pool that was. I was watching the semifinals live this morning at 3am. One thing I'd like to ask if anyone knows the answer to, does anyone know why they use format racking? I led to a pretty monotonous lay out when hit right. For those who don't know, the layout was: 1 78...

What is the most important thing in a successful pool hall?

I see a lot of people talk about equipment in this thread. I'm surprised Amazin Billiards in Malden, MA doesn't get more players through the door. I think they have the best equipment in the state and maybe even all of New England. Their prices aren't bad at all either. They used to be cheaper...

    Explain The Ko Brothers

I believe alignment has a lot to do with it. (Obviously not all of it lol thousands of hours on the table might help too) But when your body is aligned to your vision then you don't really have to focus so much on aiming. Where ever you are looking is where the cue is pointing. The better...

    New tip

I too was in the same situation not too long ago. My pechauer came with a stock tip and I switched out to a G2 medium. Good tip and big improvement over the stock tip, but it was lacking the hit I wanted. Changed to the hard, much better feel. Kamui and Zan were also on my list but I haven't...

    Best players alignment and stroke

Ko Pin Yi Duong Quoc Hoang Lin Wu Kun All three have exceptional stroke and more specifically, timing. I feel timing doesn't get the attention it should.

    OB shaft review -issues

I have received 6 shafts from OB. Not one of them was straight. They were all an OB Classic + that I always needed to be replaced for warping. Granted, they were a little warped when I got them but it wasn't enough to bother me until it got worse. Just my experience.

    How would you play this?

This was my preferred method, leaving the 15 last leaves you a simple shot that is heading forward to shape up for the 8

Has no one tried this? This sounds really good for practicing with someone else to eliminate any mediocre effort, removing any wasted table time from your practice. I'm going to try this tonight.
