What to expect in a BCA League

Do you guys find many individuals that do not have a team and/or friends that simply want to join up? Or is it more of a group of friends/let's make a team and/or group at work/let's make a team? I don't know a living soul that wants to do this with me so I am relying on a league atmosphere...

What to expect in a BCA League

Alas, I am happily married lol. I don't bowl anymore, and I am looking for a way to scratch the competitive itch while still having fun. It sounds like the BCA leagues are exactly what I am looking for. I found the organizers email, and will be contacting him. Thanks for all the great feedback.

What to expect in a BCA League

I have been in plenty of bowling leagues going back to YABA in the 7th grade, but the pool league world is a complete unknown to me. There is a local BCA league, but dearth of online info about said league. I did read the rules on the BCA site and there appears to be a couple of handicap...

A Bit Of Trivia About Aileen Wuornos; The Serial Killer They Called "Monster"

I knew her (no joke). She was on my caseload when I worked at Broward Correctional Institution (it's closed now). Six months after I transferred back to the gulf coast she was executed. Unrepentant to the end.

    New LD Cue

I see an OB Classic+ for sale in the For Sale section. Another idea would be to buy that shaft, get a Schmelke that has a similar butt to the Mezz, use the Schmelke shaft to break. That would give me two shafts for around the price of the Mezz alone..

    New LD Cue

For the record, I was considering OB first but the ones I want are all out of stock at Seyberts. I have a coupon from that retailer so I am buying from them.

    New LD Cue

I am 42. I grew up with a neighbor who had a pool table. He competed in leagues; I never had the time. Too busy playing basketball and bowling. Spent most of the time learning by getting beat consistently by him.

    New LD Cue

"Research". Fair question. I don't have access to a good local sales shop in Fort Myers. We do have a couple of good pool halls (Diamond in Cape Coral and 8 Ball Lounge in South Fort Myers). I have just started getting back into the game after many years off so, yes, most of my information...

    New LD Cue

I have played off and on since I was 10, but have never owned my own cue. I either borrowed a friends or used house cues. Now that my son has got the bug I think it's time for me to get serious. We play at least twice a week, and I am hoping to join a league in the near future. I have done...

    New Here? - Introduce Yourself

I started playing pool around 10 years of age. A neighborhood friend's Dad had a pool table. At school lunch a bunch of us would go across the street to a local arcade and shhot 8 and 9 ball for our lunch money lol. That was as competitive as I ever got. Really haven't played much over the...
