    Table identification.

No They came in colors...Blue, Gold, Tangerine (a reddish-orange), and Classic White...my favorite Centennial Blue. I had one I painted with black enamel. Looked pretty good. The ends of the pedestals can be stripped, sanded and stained.

Watching top flight players negotiate games for the cheese

Most "pros" do not bet their own. That is a dynamic that fascinates me. It must be great to just play for jelly if you win with no risk if you lose. Imagine being good enough to have backers that will put you in, even when you may not have the best of it. I have had plenty of times with people...

    (Un)Popular Opinion on Fargo Rate

No matter the tournament....a bunch of kids playing in a schoolyard. Only 3 people are supposed to win. Always been that way and always will be.

    Is Pia Filler #1???

She plays very strong....the American females are barely B+ players. Against the best Asian players, she is not in the top 5. Rankings are based on attending and getting points.

Pro Pocket Size TOO Small for 9 Ball

I'm a 650-670 player. 4", 4.25" don't change the game much. Both players are on the same table regardless.

This Is What I'm Talking About

There are levels to everything. Among the elites the percetages are much higher. Gorst has had break and run percentages of 39 and 41% in long races. SVB has crested 40% in many of his long races. Orcullo, Filler, Bergman.... I know short stops who break 25% routinely. Even with break...

This Is What I'm Talking About

World class percentages at 30 to 35%. I think it was Bustamante who said he never broke and ran more than a 7 pack in competition.... I did, on a big pocket Gold Crown 9 footer for a $10 set. It took being able to shoot PLUS a lot of work on my break.

This Is What I'm Talking About

Correct... You are either a run out threat or not. If not...you better work on not selling out when you miss, playing strong safeties and managing racks until you have a that you can get all the way out. It can take a couple years of actual work to move someone from his level to a guy I might...

This Is What I'm Talking About

Work on the break. Also practice throwing 4 , 5 or 6 balls and try to run out from ball in hand. If you can run out 5 or 6 balls 80% or more....paired with a good break...you will be a threat to run out when needed to win.

One week to Super Billiards Expo. Who is playing?

One week to Super Billiards Expo. Who is playing?

I don't get out much.... And you know where I won't play! Where would we be playing Friday? Would like to play a Diamond barbox if we could. Saw the place in Fulton closed.... I'd lock up 3 sets for 200 each....either here locally or SBE. I checked the list for the Wednesday Warm Up and...
