Dear Russians - was there ever Russian chalk?

yeah, but "бильярд мел" on your box is pretty weird. "Бильярдный" fits there much better, and it is an adjective desciribing a noun (instead of two nouns)

    Respect for Easy E post

seems like pretty bold of a hint ;) Good news he's out of Top 100, meaning still not a gimme to locate him

Dear Russians - was there ever Russian chalk?

I still am in doubt, as learnt about RMC only from AZB forums. Had this statement been true, I'm pretty certain it would have been offered for sale in Russia. But it was not. I had to import it from an American user. Still have a cube I'm using through seldom sessions at the table. If one cares...

    Respect for Easy E post

nope :) I know the guy, and been battling him competitively once. He is from other bordering country. I won't reveal the name unless he decides to do that himself, otherwise I'd like to respect his online privacy  All I can tell thus far, he is a local pro or semi-pro (a shortstop, by...

Dear Russians - was there ever Russian chalk?

As for chalk on the rail missing on multiple photos, that's an interesting question. Maybe chalk was attached somewhere aside, so that it had not ever ended up being on the table rails?

Dear Russians - was there ever Russian chalk?

It is only for several years ex-USSR (Russian, Ukrainian, Kazakhstan, etc.) makers started producing their own formulas. The impact they got after Kamui 0.98 and such appeared. Until then there was hardly any mass production locally, most probably billiard chalk was imported. "Russian Magic...

Gorst vs SVB, race to 40 for 20k

How about one ball one pocket for the same stake instead? :D

Gorst vs SVB, race to 40 for 20k

I'd prefer several sets race to 25 over a single race to 120. This is a new modern world, after all :p Time to adapt.

    This Keeps Happening

Outsville racking templates are not bad. It only takes aome little effort to utilize them properly. In order to do that, one has to be literate, literally ;) There are 4 letters on the bottom: P, U, S and H. So all it takes is just following the instruction manual.

    2026 World Snooker Championship: April 18 - May 04

Shaun's speech after the match was a piece of its own, such a class act. During the season, when in China, he had a quick chat with Wu Yize and told him, he will be a world champion some day. Telling this today, Shaun whispered then "I just regret it happened today" :D

    2026 World Snooker Championship: April 18 - May 04

Feels like the best World Championship in years! :love:Last three matches (both SFs and Final) are a must watch. Those last four warriors seemed just unplayable at times. (I feel for Murphy, can you imagine he's now lost 4 finals, after winning his first at 22 as a qualifier. Hopefully he does...

Have you heard about Titlist chalk (by Dr. V's Custom Shop) before SVB's recent announcement?

Nope, RMC does not do that with me, otherwise I wouldn't have been using it until nowadays. My take is, it also depends on one's chalking style. I rather swipe the tip with my cube, than try to drill the hell outta it while grabbing in my hand :)

Have you heard about Titlist chalk (by Dr. V's Custom Shop) before SVB's recent announcement?

We are in the same boat about Russian Magic Chalk, been using it a lot for years. But I did not notice it being messy (well, it does leave some clearly visible residue on the cue ball if the tip is soft, but only on really strong hits). As for SVB's story here, it must be one very familiar for...

Have you heard about Titlist chalk (by Dr. V's Custom Shop) before SVB's recent announcement?

Shane Van Boening informed his FleeceBunk followers that from now on he switches from his "good old" Master chalk to the Titlist, mentioned in the thread/poll title.

    Filler missing

yep, that's AI generated stuff. If one watches closely, it is easy to notice the face looks unnatural, more like a mask than a real one. And the facial reactions look identical, as if they were copied (and they actually were).

    Pool Ball Collecting.

I used to know one, I think an Irish guy (or of such origin, residing in the US). He was aiming to come up with a book of various games, some of them even not related to pool. Got to know him via AZB, and, like many other members, he does not frequent here any longer :cautious:

BRKNG: MR has revealed new ball set for 2026 events! [actually not]

Alright, dear AZBer, the catch worked just fine :p As lucky as we viewers are, this is a pun and fake news. Sorry, I could not wait until April Fool day.

straightline: "Can you provide the logic behind this?"

Well, for real, some of sports people can not teach others. They just do what nature gave them, usually unable to even explain, let alone teach.
