3. What is the seating like? I imagine it's going to be really quiet before Saturday & Sunday.

Let me make a wild guess, based on the flooring of a sports hall. There are some plastic chairs common to a stadium, located around the perimeter. Table 1 most probably has special seating around it.

I tried to view the bracket by clicking on the link in the story from the front page of this website, and it says that I have to log in to the see the bracket.

Is it just me or is that ridiculous? Why would I need an account to see the bracket (even if that only means they want my email address). Shouldn't they want to promote the event to me, and all of us?
