Gold crown 9 ft cover question

Digging up an old topic here. Looking for a cover for my 9' GC1. However, I would like to find one that is soft-lined. Are any of these covers that have been mentioned soft on the inside? Or are they the same inside and out? I can see the painted sides of a GC1 getting scuffed up from the...

    Brunswick Gold Crown 1 colors

I know they call it "classic white," I think. But in the photo I posted don't you agree that it looks pale gray? It's different than the white base color. Wish I had that 1964 cover photo in higher resolution.

    Brunswick Gold Crown 1 colors

Does anyone have a list... or better yet photographs... of all the colors Gold Crown 1s came in from the factory? From what I've gathered, the color choices changed slightly over the years of that first generation. For example, I found this photo of a GC1 with gray aprons on a 1964 brochure...

Gold Crown 1 rail laminate pics

Hi. I'm looking for photos of original Brunswick Gold Crown 1 rails. In particular, I'm looking for rails with good, original wood laminate/veneer. Trying to find a modern replacement that looks as correct as possible for color and pattern/grain. Wilsonart makes several laminates that look...

Cool stuff! Thanks guys. Keep it coming. For some reason this darn website doesn't notify me where there are replies to my thread (even though I'm subscribed to it). So I don't always see these things in a timely manner. Sorry!

Hi. I'm trying to locate some nice, hi-res scans of Brunswick Gold Crown 1 ads and brochures. In particular, I'd like to find some nice images of the various apron and cloth combinations that were available from the factory. Does anyone collect GC1 brochures from that early- to mid-60s era...

    Opinions: Ball Return or NO

I'm looking for a Brunswick Gold Crown 1 table. I'm wondering what people think about a ball-return tables vs no ball return. I like the convenience of a ball return but I remember as a kid having an old Brunswick Celebrity, I think it was, in our basement and the ball return was really noisy...

    Dating a Gold Crown 1

Thanks for the feedback guys. I love the orange too and would want to keep this table as original as possible. The asking price is $3500 by the way. Not exactly cheap for an old pool table. I share your concern about all the dents in the rails. What the heck happened to them?!?! The rest...

And here's a photo of the table when it was last together about 8 years ago, for what it's worth. Everything looks good in small, blurry photos, right? Lol.

    Dating a Gold Crown 1

Here is the table I'm looking at... via photos. I would love to get some educated opinions about it. All I know is it was in a home basement for many years, although I'm not sure it was bought new by the homeowner or not. But it definitely spent the majority of it's life there. The seller...
