    Omega DPK

I may. I have no idea of it’s current value. It has a lot of natural material, including David’s proprietary “sprite” inlay. I’ve watched collectible cue values skyrocket.

    DPK

You are correct. I should have specified Omega/dpk. I have a cue from the time David, Mike, and Matt were working for Ed Obata. I have met them all.

    Omega DPK

Are Omega DPKs still collectible? I never see them listed on the cue collector sites. Or have they just become rarely listed? When I do an internet search, all I get are listings from years ago.Thanks.

    neck surgery

I had the surgery a year and a half ago. 5 cervical vertebrae fused. 10 screws and a titanium plate. It takes about a year to get back to close to normal, so be patient. I thought it was going to end my pool playing but it didn't. My buddies wouldn't let me use it as an excuse. Just keep playing...

Don't piss off the old guys

For the most part, older players don't give a shi*t about winning and ego anymore and have nothing to prove to anyone. They are content to play for the joy of the game and the camaraderie of friends who play, and the willingness to share knowledge. But, insult them and piss them off and you...

Is there somewhere in here I can look up my join date?

    It doesn't matter

It doesn't matter what brand of cue, what weight the cue is, what joint type, the shaft brand, the shaft stiffness, the shaft taper, the tip brand, the tip hardness, your aiming system, and on and on. You can't buy a game. When you miss, it is because of bad/inconsistant stroke mechanics and bad...

    Advice please on Billiards magazines

I've been a subscriber to Billiards Digest for 20 + years. You can't do better.

    lmao defense is a weakness.....

FTR.....playing bar rules without BIH (and where safeties are frowned upon) can still be overcome by players like us that play "actual" rules. You just have to learn how to make your opponent think you are attempting a shot (and calling the shot, of course) when all actuality....you are...

US Bans sale of all ivory across state lines

A lot of you are assuming a cue with ivory will lose value. I'm not so sure about that. They will become rarer and harder to sell certainly, but they may become more valuable despite or as a result of the ban. Should I keep it because it will increase in value or sell it because it will become a...

Trivia question about the movie::::""The Color of Money::::""

I always interpreted to mean "take six" (minutes). An old phrase that meant take a break, relax!

    Omega DPK or Kersenbrock?

It's got the flared butt cap which was a Omega signature feature. I figured as much. It's not for sale though. This wasn't a hidden attempt at an ad. Thanks for your input.

    Omega DPK or Kersenbrock?

I have a cue that I purchased through Ed Obada back when David Kersenbrock, Mike Bender, and Matt Bender worked together. I had visited their shop and saw that they all worked together and all had a collaborative hand in making the cues, even David. I have a fancy Omega DPK with inlaid ivory...

    Fouette Help

Extremely low inside english with a level cue. A LONG smooth follow through. Don't hit it too hard or the English won't have an opportunity to take effect (that's the usual mistake). And practice, practice. When you do it right you'll hear a clacking sound. Bob Jewett DOES have a video but I...
