Depending on shot speed I think side spin is the typical answer, but with that distance between the cb and ob it is more easily said than done for crummy players (SAWS or not).

One that always drive me crazy is the thin cut against the short rail.

Like others have said, dust removal and ventilation for a hobbyist cue maker is the biggest headache depending on your space.

I think your data has shown there is no difference in predicted outcomes between the two (ignoring the shootout)? I suppose there is a thrill of a bigger comeback with the race to 9, but comebacks are more likely with set approach.

And even further down the chain, I’m often envious of the dart league players who are done with all their matches while our pool league play has “just” started. Matchroom runs the main darts pro format (pdc) so I have confidence they can transfer some of that skill to pool.

Darts is a great example. Maybe if pool had a Luke Littler, fun crowds, and matches that last under 15 minutes it could get the money that darts brings in.

Incredible play throughout that match

All tied up now, an incredible match. I don't think Baoanan was soft breaking and think Fedor was frustrated at the level of his play.

I would like to see a challenge match where earl’s opponent is forced to wear 15lb ass weights, 3in shoe lifts, a weighted glove, and use a 25oz cue that measures 2.5in at the butt.
