there was a dispute at the end about the clock
The ultimate pool people do an amazing job running these tournaments on time. Play in one if you have a chance, they are a lot of fun.
I just can't get into running around the table to try to win a match because of a time clock. If it gets down to the last game, the clock should shut off except for the 30 second clock.
Understand they are trying to do the opposite of every other league to try and stand out, but that running around is for the birds.

It sure beats a player studying a slight cut for 3 minutes, picking up and putting the chalk down countless times to chalk again, walking around the table again.............and again to see the shot, all for that agonizing 10 degree cut into the corner.

They do the same when there's a tie.... six ball running around shoot out.
You may be confusing 2 different things. I don't mind the shot clock every shot, but when it gets down to where people have to run around the table as in the 6-5 match with Oscar, then it is just wrong. Part of my thought process is I played 2 seasons in that league so I watched the good, bad, and the ugly.
Well, that’s one more than I am going to play,
I like watching it some even if I don’t like the rules and format. Some good matches and players etc…. Don’t like playing it. The good comes from pool and 8 ball in general, the bad and ugly from, well, the rules and format. IMO.
Isn’t that more a question of who can handle pressure? I got more dog in me than I care to have, but shit.
You know where the cue ball path is going generally. If you have to cross to another side of the table, do so without getting all flustered (remember the heart beat monitors used in some such streaming thing).
I LOVE to see someone step up to the table scratch their eyebrow, scratch the chalk and then get down until they finish.
So many possible permutations, but who can recognize the optimal pattern and stay smoove?

I will say that it is a little bit pretentious to have a Hall of Fame for your thing when the thing isn’t even a decade old… not even a half a decade old… for goodness sake I guess this is where we’re at in all walks of life.
