I can't believe Archer doesn't get more respect. He was the player of the decade in the 90's when HOF caliber players like Buddy, Earl, Varner, Efren, Parica, & Bustamante were all playing great and were a threat to win any tournament. Plus he had a winning gambling record in the Philippines...

This is exactly what happened to Archer when he played Bustamante three races to 13. Archer won 35 games and Bustamante only won 26, but Archer lost 2 out of 3 sets.

This might have something to do with the fact that Johnny was betting his own money and Bustamante was getting staked. Also, Johnny probably wasn't feeling very lucky. After 3 sets Johnny was stuck one set even though he had won more games (35 to 26).
