UPDATE****
I ended up getting the 8ft table. The salesman put in the contract I could exchange it for a 7ft within 30 days. I’ve played about 15 games now and I can say with certainty that I am very happy I went with the 8ft table. I have a shorty cue and have never used it even once.
I believe...
Yes, a good quality table and aesthetics (which is subjective) were both important to our house. For the same money up here in Canada, it’s not even for the lowest entry level Olhausen, Brunswick, Plank and Hide etc
I did not buy the table. I listened to the salesman’s advice and then before doing anything, I did my own own independent research online, including asking others for their experience and advice first because of my inexperience. You should play some games of scrabble. Plenty of fun and will most...
I don’t think that’s the mystery. I think for most people including myself, the debate lies with what’s a better experience, playing on an 8ft with an occasional shorty cue (for just east west shots with the ball against the rail) or a 7ft with no shorty.
That’s the mystery I was hoping to solve.
Alright, not having even one person say to get the 8, I think I should listen to the experienced people vs the sales guy. Now to find a deal on a 7 table
Maybe one more point I should add... there’s a pool table discontinuing this line of pool tables that’s regular price 12k for the 8fter. He has it marked down to 6k. I offered him 3500 cash and he accepted if I want it.... delivered installed and with a felt colour change, cues balls and cover...
Thank you everyone for your opinions. After chalking it on the floor and using an adjustable painter handle for cue size, I think I’m going to get the 8ft with 2 x 57 cues and 2 x 52 inch cues
it’s really the east west, on the rails shot that gets affected. None of us are pros and it’s really...
Hi Guys,
I’m really struggling between a 7ft table and a regular 8ft table. My room dimensions are 13ft wide by 20ft.
I’ve searched guides and they suggest 13ft6”
but I was wondering if anyone has a similar size and what there experience has been.
Would you guys rather play with shorter cues...
