I found the same...that the low deflection shafts pivot more towards the joint, and the one piece shafts pivot around 12 inches...house cues and straight tapered shafts pivot around 6-8 inches...approximately. I would agree here as well. I typically suggest that regardless of what Platinum has...

That was my thought: a drag shot. In addition to PJ's comments above, I'll use it in situations where position requires follow...but I also have to hold the cue ball. (Assuming I can't get to a rail for reverse english.) For example, a long cut shot into the side pocket...where I want the cue...

Whenever I use a low deflection shaft I play english by feel instead of BHE. I've seen some refer to it as front hand english...but I don't think that's right since I make my adjustment as I address the cue ball. (When I use BHE with standard shafts I make my adjustment after the address.)...

With production cues it's important to distinguish Viking, Joss and other American cue makers from those produced overseas. Even though the Vikings are production, they are made in the US and that does mean something. I typically purchase Vikings because I think they have a lot of consistency...

I agree...I picked that up from his eyes in the video also. He probably had the best vantage point from everyone, and he was also more tuned in than anyone else was.
