Meucci Originals No Dice Gamblers - ID & Date

I now have 2 Meucci Originals No Dice Gamblers and I need some input on when they were made and where they fit in the Originals line of no-dice gambler history. As you can see from the images mine are the ones made before the Originals with dice above and below the playing cards and at the...

Let's Post Some Joss West Cues

Here's 5 of mine => In Order: 1) One image. Early 1970’s basic 4 point, one of Bill's earlier cues. Genuine ivory ferrules on both shafts. Genuine ivory butt cap. Bought at a yard sale in Colorado Springs in 1988 for $80 with “alligator hide” case. The racks I have played with this stick is...

I need help with a Meucci Original

It's partly because the newer cues they put out do not play well and partly because the older sticks are collectable and a lot of guys (including me) have collected them over the years and are still collecting them. It's like some older guns and older guitars. They bring more because they are...

I need help with a Meucci Original

Most who don't like the newer Meucci's are griping about the fit and finish. That means very little to me. What matters is how they play and few shafts are better than the old red dots and no dot shafts. I love em!

I need help with a Meucci Original

Yeah the latest sticks from them are nothing like the older ones but Bob just sold Meucci Cues in October so maybe the new owners will improve things. I have my doubts but we shall see. Thy could get get worse.I know one thing, pricing on repairs has gone up from $46 for a re-wrap without...

I need help with a Meucci Original

Yeah I can't stand the new "low deflection" shafts like The Pro shaft Meucci is putting out on all new sticks. I believe in the low def concept but I was not able to make the transition, these newer shafts change everything. I play with a red dot and a no dot. Just love em'. The one he's asking...

I need help with a Meucci Original

I have one just like it with 4 spades, but to me this cue is simply a Meucci Originals MO-10 "No Dice" Gambler. It has the chain instead of the dice and is far more rare and worth more than one with the dice. And I agree with a previous comment about the 4 queens - It was likely a custom order...

Hahaa! Good one man - I didn't even notice how old this post is. Excellent point. I hate looking like a dumb ass in the presence of my fellow pool connoisseurs yet here we are...

Cue ID - A Little Help Please

Oh now I see what you seeing in the one image where it looks like the butt cap is off center. That's the camera angle.

Cue ID - A Little Help Please

OK, thanks for the input! Yeah like I said in another response the fit and finsih of the butt section is not very good. The butt cap is centered however. It rolls perfectly together and apart. Thanks for chiming in!

Cue ID - A Little Help Please

Thanks for responding Fatboy! So you think the brass joint is painted over because it looks like there is a chip on the edge of it? Like the paint is chipped? And how can you tell the wrap is nylon and not linen? Just curious. Yeah the fit and finish on the sleeve / rings is pretty miserable...

Cue ID - A Little Help Please

Oh hey thanks for the quick response man! The brass part of the joint is not tappered at at all, it is straight-walled, looks like a tube. In fact I miced the brass part of the joint at the base and at the threads and it is perfectly cylindrical. So you think it was made from a house cue...

Cue ID - A Little Help Please

Greetings, If anyone can help me ID this pool cue I will certainly appreciate it. It is very well made with a brass joint and recessed shaft threads. Another unique feature is the points appear shorter than most cues having points. That and the brass joint make it somewhat unique and may help...

    Meucci Originals Gambler 84-9E

I disagree with most of the others on here regarding price. Because it is a Meucci Originals gambler it is worth around $1,100 in perfect shape. Guys are collecting these now and I have seen this cue go for over $1,000 recently. The only gambler worth more is a Meucci Originals M-10 gambler...
