Hello, I have completed two purchases from Michael Dcafango. Hope your issue gets resolved. I bought a $2700 cue and a $450 shaft from him. I could not be more pleased. He was very friendly, shared his knowledge and expertise on the cue and shaft. Both arrived quickly, no drama, no surprises...

The cue was purchased in 1969 for about $1550 in 2024 currency. This cue played: US Open 9-Ball Chesapeake, VA 1992. US Open Straight Pool Championship East Brunswick, NJ 2009. Over 5 decades of Professional Tournaments. That is Jasmin Ouschan he beat in photo. Our gentleman professional...

Just wanted to share, this cue hopefully by end of day will be something I can have. A 1960s that is almost the same as Hawaiian Brian Hashimoto used. There were a handfull of these made so it is a rare model.

    Pool Ball Weights

More Data. The Brunswick Centennials are in good used shape with no nicks or cracks. Centennial Cueball is missing, set has another kind of CB. From the data, it looks like the Centennials were used more for 9 ball games. The Aramith Black and Super Pro are brand new just unwrapped and never...

    Abalone cue from the sea

Finished up the Zero Haliburton case. I think it came out better. Haven't come up with a solution for the other shafts. They could go in the top cover. How to hold them in place is another problem. Which cue do you like the best?

What is best CUSTOM CUE FOR YOU?

I knew Zylr and shot some pool with him. His real job was Radiology Technician. He was passionate about cue building but didn't have the resources to build more than a simple mary widow. I asked if he could do inlay or points. He argued it wasn't necessary to shoot straight. Rick, Dale, Ariel...

I see it now. I had to enlarge the image a bit. Really nice ring work.

Those mother of peal accents are very nice. Almost all of my cues have some mop or abalone in the designs.

    Abalone cue from the sea

Wow, that is a really beautiful cue! The New Zealand abalone shell is so blue, it really works well with the design of the cue. With that type of joint, it must have a very good impact feel. My shells are more steel grey in color than the deep blue you have. Thank you for sharing images. (y) I...

    Abalone cue from the sea

I'd like to see your nitti cue with the abalone inlays in it, would you like to post it here? I would actually welcome others to post pictures of their paua/abalone shell cues here. I think when done well, can look quite spectacular.

    Abalone cue from the sea

It really is impressive in the sunlight. Hard to capture its characteristics in still pictures with a phone. I believe there is only one individual that makes these at the McDermott facility. This is 49/50. There's a video showing him making this cue on Youtube.

    Abalone cue from the sea

I think this cue has around 400 inlays and rings. It's very over the top.

    3D printed pool cue

Another idea is to make a cane and put the shaft in the butt. I travel through airports in many countries. A cane is allowed onboard a plane. It needs to be X-rayed but since no weapon is inside the butt or shaft it will pass. Then you have a two piece cue. Make the butt out of heavy metal to...

New member: Any Thoughts on McDermott COTY?

Thank you, yes I've only had the two. They feel vastly different but play somewhat the same. The 4-point is only 57' which I suppose a 30' shaft could rectify that problem. TAD may have learned much from 1960 to 1990. The 1990 is a great cue (plain TAD) except it's no beauty. Have yet to...

It is a TAD with logo on the butt cap. Tad was still very much up and walking about when I got that cue. It's in played condition with signs of many games on it. It is the best playing cue of the lot. Many have tried to get it from me but it's not worth much to sell it. I've been told it's...
