When are MISCUE and SCOOP Shots Fouls?

Some of my miscues are only known to me. As mentioned in one of your reasons it sort of slips at the end of the contact period with the cue ball. I even get some drawback.

Another Bad Draw-Miscue-Scoop Foul Call in a Major Pro Pool Tournament

I think everybody agrees it was not intentional. At issue here is if the cue ball obviously hit the shaft after being hit (an obvious double-hit).

Another Bad Draw-Miscue-Scoop Foul Call in a Major Pro Pool Tournament

No intention is not being discussed here. No one is saying this was an illegal jump shot. What the referee Marcel is saying it seems, is that by video review it was agreed that it hit up the shaft.

Another Bad Draw-Miscue-Scoop Foul Call in a Major Pro Pool Tournament

If it did hit the shaft and it was only obvious by video, is it a foul? Should video review be allowed for miscues? With technology, if this is allowed then all miscues will soon be fouls.

Why do I naturally pocket balls better with outside spin?

I’ve been rethinking why shooting with a bit of english feels more natural to me. One theory I’ve heard is that it’s very hard to strike the exact center of the cue ball. But I see the counterargument too: if you’re aiming for a specific amount of english, you can also easily mis-hit that spot...

Why do I naturally pocket balls better with outside spin?

I compensate automatically for deflection on my way down on the shot. I don't use any method like BHE, for me it's easier to do it naturally. So with or without spin, I am concentrating on the same spot/line on the object ball.

Why do I naturally pocket balls better with outside spin?

When I pocket balls, I tend to use outside spin. It just feels easier to make the ball this way. I’ve read about the “touch of outside/inside” idea, but I don’t think that’s what’s happening in my case. My take is that I’m always aiming at the ghost ball position, and instead of overcutting to...

SVB shouldn’t be allowed to turn hearing aids off?

When I listened to this episode I took that comment has a joke. But now I'm wondering if it was.

Feedback on My Stroke & Mechanics – Looking to Improve Fundamentals

One of my biggest struggle is the grip. I keep trying all kinds of grips. Read all I could here on the grip. I seem to like to hold it tight but I know this is not recommended. I've tried a loose grip, one finger, two fingers, full hand..... etc.

I've worked on my game. I also changed the video angle. I think there is less movement now (except for the 1st shot).

Feedback on My Stroke & Mechanics – Looking to Improve Fundamentals

Thanks. I seem to lean in when I need power but I don't do it on purpose. Sometimes it is less pronounced. I think it has to do with my stance. I've been concentrating on locking the back leg like suggested here. And also I've been leaning lower fromthe waste and sticking my butt out...

5". I wonder why since I now know 4.5" is more standard. Had I known when I bought it I would have asked 4.5" (assuming I had a choice.) Table is Canada Billiards.
