    Dufferin table any good?

Definitely a Challenger. Dufferin made a wide range of tables ranging from trash to decent with the Challenger being at the top. Their lower end tables had issues with strange pocket cuts, slate falls that made no sense and rails that didn't hold up well at all. Their lower end stuff aged like...

ISO: Early 90s Schon yellow micarta ferrule

For me, it's about trying to keep my cue playing as close to what I know as possible. I've played with this cue(with 2 original ferrules) for over 30 years and don't want to change the hit too much when replacing my damaged ferrule. I still have one good one left and will use it as carefully as...

ISO: Early 90s Schon yellow micarta ferrule

Sadly, I was just a touch to slow in responding for the ones that were posted. Still in search of one of these if anyone has any idea where to find one. I know it's a very long shot but I'm putting it out there. I may build a small shrine to whoever finds me one and worship it regularly.

ISO: Early 90s Schon yellow micarta ferrule

Hi all, I know that this is a very long shot but I'm starting to run out of options. I have an early 90s Schon that I've played with for 30+ years that still has it's original micarta ferrules on both shafts, unfortunately, the unthinkable happened recently and one of the ferrules chipped...

I can't imagine myself ever moving forward with the cueball from this spot. Draw all day, every day.

You Think Pool in The States is in Bad Shape....

The CBSA has been beyond awful forever. I recall a Canadian Championship held in Toronto not long ago that ended up with something like 4 women in the field and an equally abysmal number in the men's events. The old boys club that runs the CBSA still act like it's 1980 and refuses to do anything...

Where to play near Port Stanley?

Hi all, I'm heading to Ontario for 10 days near the end of the month for some much needed beach time and would love to find a place near Port Stanley to hit some balls. My preferences are snooker or 9' tables but I'm open to bar boxes as a last ditch option. Anyone know of some places with...

how are ya'll doing in league ?

We just had our 8-ball regionals here for the CPA(Canadian version of the APA) to determine who is going to Vegas. Our league has recently changed hands to a new owner and this event was a gong show, at best. Our team has been together for roughly 6 years with minor tweaks to players and has had...

    Canadian Pool Championships

You clearly missed the part where I applauded Jim, John and the Corner Bank for their efforts but that's ok. It's unfortunate that they had to come up with money out of their own pockets to get TSN there but they chose that route. My concern is more with the CBSA as a whole and the rationale...

    Canadian Pool Championships

I have a very close friend(room owner and high-level player) who did exactly that and they absolutely refused to listen to any suggestions that he presented and stubbornly stayed with their usual course of action. He resigned and nothing has changed since then. There is no doubting that...

    Canadian Pool Championships

The CBSA has had the opportunity over recent years to add some fresh perspective to their ranks and work to grow the game, unfortunately, they refuse to listen and want to maintain their status quo. What have they done in the last 10 years to try and attract players from anywhere other than...

    Canadian Pool Championships

It's pretty hard to take this tournament series seriously anymore. The national championships of a country with 35+ million people, held in a city with a rough population of 2.5 million people and the men's events couldn't manage to draw 40 players while the women's event was barely into double...

how are ya'll doing in league ?

I'm a session and a half into CPA(APA in Canada) 8-ball league and I just don't enjoy myself at league at all. I play as a 7 and, in all honesty, the division that my team is in simply does not have any decent players in it. I haven't lost a match yet and have lost 5 games total in 15 or 16...

    WPBA Masters Tournament $70,000 purse! (Feb. 27-March 3, 2019)

The commentators doing this match make my head hurt, I've turned the sound off so that I don't have to listen to them.

It means that if you can see both sides of an object ball with the cueball, you are not considered to be snookered.

    Post your fargorate;

Currently 675 with a robustness of 142, have had a high water mark of 719 but have only played a couple of events that were recorded and didn't play well in the last one. I think that 675 is reasonably close to where I am now with almost no play time lately.
