The ref did a fantastic job. He cleaned the cueball in 3 or 4 seconds leaving JJ 3 or 4 seconds to shoot the shot. The ref could have easily used all the time left to clean the cueball if he wanted to sway the eventual outcome.

I'm sure Matchroom would have rather had JJ won the last rack. It would make for a better story and a better day tomorrow.

I actually agree with you. I find myself playing much less pool and staying home and playing online chess or video games. Chess gives me a chance to be competitive and I am guaranteed to find a game which I can not say for going to the pool hall. Plus online chess does not cost me gas, tolls...
