Shoot a Million Balls? Give me a break.

I bet I've shot millions of balls!! For a time period of about 12-15 years, I played anywhere from 10-14 hours a day. I think its entirely possible for those of us who are crazy passionate for a bit. :)

    Mosconi cup to florida

Hi Walt, I don't own Cue-Phoria, and actually haven't been there in like 6 years.. Only one 9 footer left.. nothing there but APA Racks (in Sanford) is where most everyone goes. They have good food, good rates and lots of Diamonds (9 and 7) Clicks North (in Casselberry) also just got all new...

CutShots Training Ball for Beginners Experience?

The issue with the Elephant balls and other training cue balls is I guarantee you don't set them up right. You'd have to be an incredibly talented player already to know how to actually set the balls up correctly, to adjust for throw and spin, and friction, and ball cleanliness, distance, speed...

Looking for insight on stance, 6 foot 8 pool player

...the pains of being a tall player :) I found a stance that works, and Ive been playing for a really long time with no pains anywhere.. I also don't use an extension as it feels too long to me. My stance is between snooker and pool, and I don't bend all the way down to the cue as I lose my...

Any way to recover the old WEI diagrams?

I got it working by running a Windows 7 VM with Internet Explorer. (still supports Flash and Shockwave) I found the original program somewhere and I can run it and create diagrams etc.

    Diamond 1 piece slates,is sagging/divots a myth?

Its BS... One piece slates still have the same supports as the 3 piece slate tables. Main thing they do one piece is for shipping and setting up. One piece table won't ever "pop" the slates. if you have a choice, get a diamond Pro-AM with the one piece. You will never regret it. They ship fully...

Navigator tip many choices (black, alpha, automatic)

I play with either the Soft or the Medium Alpha tips. (EVERY tip becomes a hard tip after shooting with it for a couple weeks) I used to play Kamui black Medium, but I got tired of them mushrooming and glazing over. I only shape my tip once, then never touch it again... , I change it as it wears...

Derby City Classic - What ball set to be used?

Its important because you tend to play better when you aren't thinking about what ball is next. I like to have whatever balls so I can play with them and get used to how they play. They all play slightly different and the different color palettes affect you as you run out. I saw so many people...

Derby City Classic - What ball set to be used?

Hi, As the title suggests, does anyone know for sure what set is being used? I understand they are going back to Aramith from Cyclop, but I can't find the exact set. I usually buy the exact set so I get used to the various color schemes and playablity, etc. Thanks in advance *and yes, I tried...

    suggestions for setting up garage?

I would go with an 18,000 btu Klimaire mini split with the heat pump. Its around $900 and another $4-600 to install. They are half the price or less of a Mitsubishi and they are fantastic. I used to have a table in the garage and they will cool, heat and dehumidify. They have a remote and a...

9 ball Format Single Elimination best 3 outta Five Sets

So if you do the math... A 32 player double elimination tourney has 64 matches total. (unless double elim final) A 32 playe single elimination tourney has 32 matches..... unless you do 2 out of 3 sets. Then you have somewhere between 64 and 96 matches. Even if the races are shorter, the...

    Nick Varner & Florida

Sigel-Varner cues were made in China.. Just low end production cues.. as were a certain type of the Sigel cues. Varner did not ever make any cues. it was a joint venture to mass produce cheap cues with their combined names on them. Mike was making custom cues for a while also....not to be...

    sardo rack

Personally I like just using a wood rack and opponent racks. Look at it once then break them. Perfect template racks allow for breaking identical layouts time after time. Pool is meant to have some randomness to it.

    sardo rack

Sardo racks were the worst invention for pool. Basically you put all the balls in a regular rack and beat them until there are divots in the table. After that, you could use the Sardo rack. If you looked at the Sardo as you were racking, it actually didnt touch half the balls. It was a huge...
