If I wanted to core the front of a shaft say with carbon fiber. Has anyone tried this. What size, depth, and did you get results you were looking for? Have anyone tried to core with anything else?

I have on a 3/8x10 cue added a small amount of weight in the shaft. 1/4 of an ounce. Gives it forward weight.

Yes, that was my thought. Several have mention meucci may have used it and maybe players cues. I had a very old Mc Dermott. One thing I noticed is they are all sleaved joints but the Mc Dermott cues I believe had thicker wall on the joint.

My 1st cue was a McDermott. I've always liked the way they play. Over time I gravitated to custom cues. My question is implex still available to buy or use. What material would be close to implex. Thanks
