I could get shafts and the Southwest refinished by a top cuemaker and you could never tell who did it. If I told you it was Southwest you would never be able to tell the difference.

I disagree with the "patina" argument. Unless it is really a desirable rare cue, (Gus, Bushka, etc), I would recommend refinishing the cue. I have heard guys stay the same thing about Meucci cues......guys they arent rare. Just so you know, the Bushka cue I got was rougher than 2 nights in...

If you price it right, it will sell. I find deals all the time. What I do that most people wont, is I buy desirable items that need shaft(s) or a refinish or other work. I send them to a top knotch cue maker (friend) to have the work done. When finished, I get a heavily discounted cue...
