    De Luna at it again

This would have been a great thing to mention on the stream. The commentator in the video appears to have no clue this was the case and it would have avoided all of this.

SightRight: Stunned by how good this is

Yeah, I understand there's a lot of crap out there so I get the pushback. My Facebook feed is inundated with reels of contraptions that are meant to straighten your stroke and nearly all of it is garbage. This guy is the real deal. I couldn't be more impressed.

    De Luna at it again

Yes. I meant to say, I haven't found the verbiage specific to adjacent rails in the WPA rules. However, I would not be surprised if the WPA also ruled this way. Their rules aren't exactly wordy.

I've done virtual coaching with him for about six hours now. I'll meet with him in person next month. This is Ronnie O'Sullivan's coach. He's worked with a ton of great snooker players and some great pool players. I think you're overlooking the lion's share of what he's about.

You haven't taken any SightRight coaches, have you?

    De Luna at it again

I haven't found the language in WPA but it's in CSI (BCA league). This shot has never been considered worthwhile of a verbal call.

What, in your opinion, is the minimum Fargo you should have before entering a WNT Open?

This is YOUR life, YOUR story. You should enter a WNT event when you want to enter one. Right now, it appears registration is still open for the US Open. I think everyone should support pool and play as much as possible. Don't wait. Don't deny yourself the chance to have this experience...

    De Luna at it again

Laz was right both in letter and spirit. The adjacent rail to the intended pocket does not constitute a kick.

SightRight: Stunned by how good this is

The best way I can describe this is, you can learn Shakespeare on your own or you can learn it from a high school teacher or you can learn it from a Harvard professor. On a case-by-case basis, you might see a variety of results, but on average, students out of Harvard are going to have a huge...

SightRight: Stunned by how good this is

You'd be surprised. From what I've seen just in myself, I would stand to the side of the shot to measure it. Feeney says this is very common for pool players. Although you're right - it's designed specifically to accommodate two eyes, the habit of standing to the side of the shot can still...

Advice for ADHD Player vs Slow Player

I've found it only bothers me when people are slow when I don't respect the reason for being slow. Like, if you're straight in and a stop shot will serve just fine, I don't want to see you taking more than 20 seconds to figure it out. On the other hand, when I freeze you to that blocker and...

So, I wanted to reply to this. I know I haven't posted here in a while but I do think of you guys often and fondly! I've been working with Stephen Feeney (the inventor of SightRight) for the past couple of months as I train for the US Open. I'm a 650 FR so my aspirations have been modest - I...

Top players for Texas 10 Ball Open

In our opinion, the interaction with the chat is critical. It's the difference between watching something live or not. So, thank you for noticing. Captain Mike is a big believer in interacting with the chat and he'll be happy to hear your thoughts. That said, there may be other features we...

Top players for Texas 10 Ball Open

Thanks! I guess my commentary style isn't for everyone. I know that most of the audience is smart enough to know about cueing so I usually try to focus on what the shooter is trying to accomplish instead. As well, we try to be entertaining, bringing attention to key moments, especially when a...

    J. Shaw's wife...................

It's upsetting to see this conversation break down like this. There are many people, including myself, who still come to AzBilliards to try and get the latest information in a concise fashion (Facebook threads can be hard to follow sometimes). Many of us know the Shaws and I'm sure everyone...

Launching Free Stream for Central Texas

The caliber of play Skinny Bob's gets at their weekly tournaments was the motivation to start our stream. It's really a sight to see!

Launching Free Stream for Central Texas

Hey guys, I know I haven't posted here in a while but hoping you can do me a solid. My friends and I just launched a free stream covering pool tournaments and matches in the Central Texas area. We'll mostly be streaming live from Skinny Bob's in Round Rock, just outside of Austin. Even if...

Any Old Denizens From Chelsea Billiards in NYC?

just for the sake of clarity, these two pictures *are* Julian's but these are two different locations. The top pic is the last location with the Paladium. The black & white photo below it was across the street. I wasted an afternoon researching stories of Julian's because the black & white...

Want to improve? This is how. Part 1

Hi. It's nice to see people are still reading these posts I made over a decade ago! I'm mostly on Facebook now with groups PIND and Proving Grounds but I'll try to make it a point to visit azbilliards more often!
