What is the LONGEST Single One Pocket GAME you have ever played

About 8 hours. The first 70 innings or so went fine. Then I fell asleep. I woke up, ran 8, went home and went to bed.

8 ball open table rules, BCA

Unfortunately the rules are not a "how to" on 8-ball. There is an assumption that the reader understands the general rules of pool. Yes, it appears you have found a gap in the rules which should be addressed which may buy you a drink but it won't buy you another shot.

Do you play in a League?

Would "other" mean other leagues or other answers? What if the answer to the question, "Do you play in a league" is "no"? Does that go under "other", too?

What kind of cue is Johnny Cash using?

Bird's Eye Maple sleeve, ivory joint, four ebony points with red veneers and intricate gold inlays on the butt, black Irish Linen wrap... It has to be a Cuetec.

Does this mean the USOpen is Open?

I agree women should have their own tour but I wouldn't go so far as to say they can't survive having to compete against the men in every tournament. A lot of men can say the same thing. So what? I think your definition of "money" and mine are a bit different. There isn't a single woman on...

Does this mean the USOpen is Open?

I really wanted to prove you wrong. I looked over so many player lists, trying to find a woman who played in the US Open. I mean, I could've sworn women played recently but it seems you're right. It goes back to the inaugural year of the WPBA when Men's pool was really irate over the women...

Does this mean the USOpen is Open?

Karen Corr. She finished 5th in the Joss Northeast Turning Stone event only last year. I mean, it's not the US Open but a lot of the same guys that go to the US Open also play in this event.

Does this mean the USOpen is Open?

So you think they shouldn't be allowed to play because they can't compete? They need to be protected from going "broker"? I don't think I know what you're point is. I stick by my original statement. Put up the money and play. That's it. I don't care if you're a world champion, a D player...

Does this mean the USOpen is Open?

Has anyone here ever played in any of these events? I'm just curious if you guys are actual players or just spectators looking to cause a ruckus.

Does this mean the USOpen is Open?

Um, they're broke right now! Except for a small handful, most women do not make money on tour. This isn't a bash, either. I just want to point out you're looking at some of the most devoted pool players out there. They travel all over the world, play in all sorts of events and most lose...

Does this mean the USOpen is Open?

Well, it all doesn't matter much anyway. In spite of what men want and don't want for themselves, the WPBA has often not allowed its members to participate in non-WPBA sanctioned events ("men's" events). At least the WPBA recognizes how it can hurt their product and improve the men's.

Does this mean the USOpen is Open?

I think this is all getting out of hand in a hurry. He wasn't using the word "handicap" in the literal sense. It was reference to skill levels in league play, that's all. I didn't think it was the greatest comparison one could make (comparing women/men to handicapped league play) but that's...

Ah, you're right. I see it now. You were paraphrasing. Sometimes I scan through messages. My bad.

Does this mean the USOpen is Open?

No, the reason there is a women's tour has to do with the fact they have fans who attend their tournaments. It's a product and that product has customers. Even if women play as well or better than the men, there will a women's tour.

Does this mean the USOpen is Open?

I'm sorry but I can't agree with you here. The US Open has always been an open event. Put up your money and play. That's it. The fact is, women have only enhanced the prize fund and notoriety of the events they play in and succeed in. Even though Neils Feijen won the World Championship, it...

    problem with tournaments

I think the biggest problem with tournaments today are the entry fees. How do you cut up $50 for TD, the room, and players? Entry fees should be $150 to $200. That way, the enxpenses can be covered generously while creating a big purse. These $50 tournaments have been going on now for 25...

I can see your point then but still I don't believe any professional pool player has gone their whole life without ever playing straight pool and that's what i meant.
