What is the LONGEST Single One Pocket GAME you have ever played

My buddy and I have been play One Pocket a couple of years now, it was an intermittent thing for a while maybe only doing it once a week, now the games are 4-5 times, a week.

As I seem to get more skill at the game, the games are lasting longer, and ending with closer scores.

Several times in the last month a single game to 8 has gone 60-75 MINUTES, as more safety play is being used, and many inning pass with no ball pockets.

I am wonder if this is unique, or just part of the game. Game kind of reminds me of Chess.:eek:
 
I think my record is just a little over 2 hours against a good friend Nick. I don't even remember who won, but that is typical when we play. It's all about having a good time.

I don't know about the longest game, but about 3 years ago I played a race to 4 that took darn near 6 hours.
 
I've seen a game that lasted over 2 hours. Both players (very old men) were playing slower than a herd of snails.
 
Allen Hopkins and Steve Cook played a 2 hour game on an Accu-Stats video(Legends of One Pocket, I think). I wouldn't be suprised if there have been games that have lasted 3+ hours.

Nick Varner and Allen Hopkins had the 100 min rack.

My 2 longest racks were, 90min, and 80min

a game between a local around me named Glen Burnie Max, playing someone down at the open. the game has supposively gone on for 13 hours, and still counting playing 4 up 1P. now if it's true or not, i have no idea, i know for sure theve been playing for a little over 9 hours
 
I played a guy a few months ago who was pretty slow and didn't like to shoot at anything unless he had the nuts. We played 6 games in 4 hours (avg. 40 min. a game). I think he ended 4 games up though, so I guess slow plays works for him. :p

I'm sure I've had several games go over an hour, but they have been mostly due to slow play.

My long games are usually due to the fact that I suck and miss a lot of easy shots.:frown:
 
I saw a race to 2 between Howard Vickery and Tug Tugwell last four and half hours.

It was brutal to watch. Neither player would fire at their hole unless a ball was in the jaws.
