    Cue Balls' Practice

I tried this. I have 5 different cue balls. I'll toss em all on table. I'll shoot and then start taking tough shots. Like when I shoot an hang up whitey, I then shoot whitey from there. Having this selection of cue balls ''all on table'' I've found very productive in improving/FINDING shots...

Here's bite from John McEnroe on their current state of tennis. "Obviously, the key thing is, we gotta get a Ben Shelton to win one," McEnroe said. "We gotta get some American men to win some majors. And that would make it, to me, much more interesting, if Tiafoe, or Tommy Paul (stepped up)."...

    Got some Pagulayan chalk

Growing up in the Chi town area, never did see that Manhattan Club chalk. I stayed away from Bensingers in my youth, probably would of seen some there. Thx for the pic.

    Got some Pagulayan chalk

Round ''rolls'' and they are hard to find under a table. Surprised round was invented.

    Table Upgrade

Ironically I sold my GCI that was totally redone by Dave Isaccs. The locals didn't like it, too tough to play on, I hope this owner has friends that can put up with not making allot of their shots.

    Chalk on The Rail

Rec players will never do this, they pay the rent. I think everyone at a bowling alley should bring their own ball, and the owner should not have to supply balls. :)

OMG, just saw a pick of SVB with his knees on the table, at Buffalos, and the chalk was on the rail. LOL

No...... if I have to pay room/board/airfare and shuttle costs. Throwing away 3-4K is allot of money knowing I likely won't cash. It's important for the players that do win to Realize this. When I played in two WPA events, everything was covered cept food. bm

    Chalk on The Rail

The etiquette in pro play is totally different than bar table events, as to be expected. The etiquette of a pool room is to have cues and chalk available for all patrons. Often the bar tenders don't know where the chalk is. And when found, it's horrible, drilled to the bottom, ruins ferrules.

    Chalk on The Rail

I've seen Efren pour powder on the top rail, put it on his bridge hand. Extreme humidity and dirt, allows a great player to change the play/dirt conditions, giving Effie a big advantage.

    Chalk on The Rail

I never did either since my beginning yrs in the 60's. If you don't like it on the table, then pick it up. What I don't like is a pool room that has NO chalk, or a golf course without tees.

    Chalk on The Rail

I grew up on 9' tables, I find it a waste to have to walk 15' and back 15' to grab one piece of chalk. Pros always put the chalk up right.

    Chalk on The Rail

When I come to the table, I place 2 pieces of my chalk on the top rail. So I don't have to walk around the table to get one chalk. I had an opponent telling me that I should pick up both pieces before I sit down. Well, I ain't goin' there. bm

Nice post fb. Talked with John Lewis yesterday, and he's said it before.... events with no added money keep the better players away. In talking with a TX holdum poker pit boss a week ago he said this. Entry fees are the payouts.... no money is added. In pool..... No added money.... Keeps the...
