    Reyes cup 2025.

I wonder who backed Manas to be in the team. He's not the best even among PH players, let alone Ko brothers and some CN 9who could boost the viewership by thousands)

Best display of cueing you've ever seen

this game of One Pocket by Ivan Lunda is the best possible, IMO. Just absolutely NUTS

What do you think of custom cues from Taiwan, or cues made in Taiwan, in general?

I had a Lucasi, played good and at the same price had far better design than any basic USA-born cue at par price. I still think that is a very good present to a beginner player - good looking and can be changed a year later when he understands the game and his feelings better.

    Jump Cue Advice

Got Predator Air II recently. Do not recommend. Could compare it directly with Air II made some years ago (maybe 5 or so) and the shaft wood is clearly changed. Mine is too soft for a good jumper. It jumps, tho. But I'd rather advice to get some cheaper wood.

How to FINISH THE STROKE … Accelerate and Follow Through Like a Pro

One thing that helped me a lot is finishing the stroke with the cue tip touching the cloth. On any shot, not only the draw. It naturally requires all the action for a smooth stroke - a nice follow thru and a natural elbow drop with a relaxed grip. Solved my many troubles

    Slowest pro players?

Danny Basavich - Does anyone have a WPC video of his only (suppose) appearance there in early 2000 years? It was a monumental, as he was stroking and concentrating for 2:45 before an ordinary shot.

What do you do ..when putting in the work doesnt work?

Begin with this video. It is the simpliest advice to follow to play better in tournaments, and for me it worked. Niels is good.

Your 1st Cue, 30 Years Later

My first cue stick was a Viking V39 priced at $150—a modest step above the range's base model, the V40, which was only ten dollars cheaper. But I wasn't foolish enough to purchase the very cheapest. The acquisition was nothing less than a medical necessity: struck down by the pool virus, I spent...

    Small pockets ruining the game

Very right. But personally, I want at least one familiar guy - to pull for the dark horse guy against him, the usual winner ) In poker, you have 6 to 9 guys at the table, and there is always this pro vs newcomers balance. It comes naturally, maybe that the game is better balanced itself. In...

    Small pockets ruining the game

Hey folks, I have another thought about the pocket sizes and the overall difficulty of pool. It seems there's a consensus forming that we need to reach a "sufficient" level of difficulty, to achieve a balance. Here's my point about that balance: the game is unbalanced when the World Championship...

    Small pockets ruining the game

Analogies work both ways man ) There are many sports where level rise year to year, and winning conditions change accordingly. You don't win figure skating at the Olympics without a couple quadruple jumps. Or in gymnastics without new elements. The level is growing, the demands are growing -...

    Small pockets ruining the game

In Favor of Tighter Pockets for More Exciting Nine-ball Matches As someone who watches a lot of billiards on YouTube, I'd like to argue for tighter pockets. With forgiving tables, a Nine-ball game after the break can be fast-forwarded through—what’s the thrill in watching a sure runout? The...

    Pechauer Black Ice for breaker?

Hello friends! I couldn't find a single decent review of an interesting cue shaft for breaking: Pechauer Black Ice. If anyone has tried it, please share your experiences. Also, a broader question: this shaft is 2 ounces heavier due to a special manufacturing process. Is it convenient or...

    Evgeny

U'd better say it's very unusual. I know one amateur player here in Moscow that have one cue for russian billiards and for pool as well. He's changing only small butts for better weight. It's very similar approach: this cue is made with "butterflu splice" tech, but by another cuemaker. It hits...

    Evgeny

This cue made to play pool by russian standards. I mean standards of russian pyramid billiards, where most of the pro play with spliced like butterfly cues. This, I think, make them act like "spring". Besides, U don't need ideal single peace of wood... In the end, that's tradition. Evgeny's cue...

The Russians are Coming, the Russians are Coming!

He's also very good at OnePocket. I'm surprised he prefered US open to DCC. But sure he can live in USA till January, if his game's well. He rarely plays pool here in Russia. In Russian Cup final lately he won over Stepanov 9-3 with no single mistake.
