Technique for trimming a cue tip flush with the ferrule

Thanks for this, I recently purchased one and am practicing on the technique. I think so far from experiments is I need to leave a little more on the tip before I use this blade to finish. As if it’s a small amount I am fining it’s not easy to cut.

Technique for trimming a cue tip flush with the ferrule

Hi there, I am looking for some advice on any techniques on how you can trim a tip flush with the ferrule on a lathe using the cutter tool rather than using the razor blade method? This is for leather tops and also phenolic break tips too. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Roy.

    Shaft weight

I have owned numerous mezz cues and if you get a cue with the united joint generally they come in at 4oz and above. The shafts which are lighter tend to use their wavy joint which doesn't have the brass insert Hope this helps Roy
