    European Straight Pool Pedigree

Souquet & Ortmann were great Juniors already Hi Dennis: I'm not sure why the US is not using a system like this. Everybody else seems too. Maybe the distances? But, this is mainly a question of sports philosophies. Too difficult for my limited knowledge. However, I believe the system was...

    European Straight Pool Pedigree

part of it is system induced Hi: I believe that one reason for maybe a higher straight pool awareness in Europe comes from the league play system. Like in all sports in Europe you have a national organization sanctioning the sport (of pool in this case). <they incorporated a system that allows...

    McDermott I2 shaft: Minimum Thickness?

Hello Everybody: I have a question concerning the I2 shaft from McDermott. My friend wants to have his shaft turned down quiet a bit. Maybe 11.5mm or so. Is it safe to go so small or is it coming close to the carbon inserts? Thank you Michael

nice runs Hello Dennis: It was nice to see you and Jr. play. He really looks loose. I believe you did quiet well in the two runs, but I thought that you played the early balls of the 2nd run to lazy after your great ( ) break shot. Basically all balls are open and only the 2 balls near...

Question about percentages after the breakshot

Let my try this differently Hello Again: I have thought a bit more about this and I'll try it differently. I guess my main question is the following: How much of a handicap is it to have to break in straight pool on the professional level? Is it a rack a balls, less or more in a race to 150...

Question about percentages after the breakshot

Hello Guys: Sadly, I never had the chance to watch a big straight pool tournament, but looking at straight pool matches on DVD made me wonder if the standard break shot is the right opening for professional play (only on this level). It seems to me that the second player almost always has a...
